Cross and Ink were hanging out together. Blue and Error were spying on them so they could use it as blackmail.
Ink's cell phone suddenly rang. He answered the call.
"Hello?" said Ink.
He shouted, "WHAT!? I"M ON MY WAY!!!"
"What happened?" Cross asked.
Ink sadly explained, "Nightmare was found lying on the ground of the JR hallways. Dream brought him to the medical room and..."
"And what?!" Cross cried.
"He only has a week left to live..."
Cross was crying. Error was silently crying into Blue's shirt.
"We need to tell Error and Blue," said Ink.
"No need to," said Blue as he and Error came out.
They all immediately went to the JR building to see Nightmare. They saw Nightmare sleeping peacefully on the bed of Dream's room. Cross and Error were crying and Ink and Blue were trying to comfort them. Dream was feeling the saddest. He secretly had a crush on the smaller skeleton but he would be gone soon.
Ink, Cross, Blue and Error left the room. Dream look at Nightmare with tears in his eyes. He noticed Nightmare crying as well.
"Dream... d-don't l-l-leave me..."
"Guess he is having a nightmare, huh?" Dream thought.
Nightmare started crying more and Dream was finding a way to calm him down. He suddenly had an idea. He took out his phone and turned on the music player.
Wait a second, let me catch my breath
The moment Dream sang the first line, Nightmare stopped crying, which was a good sign. Dream continued singing.

Nightmare was starting to calm down. Dream smiled and continued singing.

Nightmare was sleeping peacefully. Dream bent down and kissed him on the forehead.
"Sweet dreams brother..."

Nightmare was complaining to Dream.
"I want to go outside!"
"No you can't!" Dream argued. "You need to stay in the bed if you want to live longer."
"I'm going to die either way!" Nightmare cried.
Dream sighed and used his fingers to wipe Nightmare's tears away.
"Fine...Where do you want to go?"
"The tree!" Nightmare exclaimed.
"Okay," Dream replied, picking Nightmare up.
He teleported the both of them to the Tree of Feelings. They both sat down right at the trunk of the destroyed tree.
"It feels just like yesterday when we were protecting the tree from the villagers," said Nightmare.
"Yeah..."
More flowers grew on Nightmare. It means he only has a few minutes left.
"Hey Night?"
"Yes?"
"I have something to tell you..." Dream muttered.
"What is it?" Nightmare asked curiously.
"I-I-I like you!" Dream confessed.
Dream smashed his lips against Nightmare. Nightmare melted into the kiss.
Slowly, Nightmare started turning into millions of yellow flowers.
"No...no...NO!!!" Dream cried.
"G-good b-b-bye brother..."
"NIGHTMARE!!!"
