It was like a thunderbolt. The chaos of the place immediately went down and there was pin-drop silence everywhere. It seemed like the calmness before the storm.
Both Prachi and Niladri got startled hearing the voice and looked at the source of it.
There they found none other than the high and mighty Mr. Adam Torcelli, the chief executive officer of the branch and the son of the owner of that company.
Prachi got scared only by looking at his murderous eyes. She immediately withdrew her hands away from Niladri's clutch and tried to reply to her boss nonchalantly but stuttered in the process.
"I-I am extremely s-sorry sir. I had no intention of creating any kind of scene here. He is my friend and he just comes here to meet me b-because he has lost my cell number. I-I..."
Adam showed his palm to give her the hint of stopping her stupid blabbering. As her voice died down, he took two steps forward, looked at the pair in front of him simultaneously, and then hissed with venom in his voice: "I don't give a damn if you are sorry or not Miss..."
"Um..P.Prachi sir. My name is Prachi Dey. I am an accountant of your office", she filled the blank created by her 'stupid boss'.
Yes, she called him 'stupid', 'idiot', 'monkey', 'donkey' and many more funny names. Ridiculous. Isn't it? There are two reasons why she preferred to curse her boss inwardly instead of blasting him outwardly with some raw profanities.
First of all, her dictionary of profanities was, unfortunately, very limited. It was not like she was too innocent to know any blasphemous language. It was her choice. She rather preferred to avoid uttering those words even in her mind. After all, it was the question of the virginity of her tongue anyway. Isn't it?
And secondly, she had no such audacity to utter those words in front of him. After all, she needed her job. Who in her right mind would dare to curse her boss anyway? Moreover, she had never seen such a powerful, heartless, calculative, mean beast in form of a human being before. She didn't dare to think what he might do to her if he could read her mind. So it was better to maintain a distance from this man. But it seemed it was her doomsday.
She rolled her eyes in her mind but tried to maintain her posture just like a sweet obedient employee.

"Whatever 'chi-chi' it is, I don't care. This is my office and I am very sure that I don't pay you for romancing here with your boyfriend in front of my office during in-office hours. This is not a place to have your infamous rendezvous. Moreover, your silly romance is creating scenes and attracting public eyes. If you are so irresponsible in your duties in this company then be my guest. Hurry up. Follow me upstairs." He smirked coldly.
Prachi panicked, "Wha-what do you mean, sir?"
Adam simply turned around and replied before arrogantly disappearing in his office: "That's for me to know and for you to..dot..dot..dot."

Prachi's jaws kissed the ground hearing his words.
What just happened? Did he mock her again?
She was so angry right now that she couldn't help but think of different ways of murdering this bloody ape.
How dare he mock her? He not only insulted her but also made fun of her name, her beautiful name given by her deceased parents.
And whose fault was this?
Asked her inner self.
'Shut up. You don't know anything.'
She scolded herself and focused on her present problem.
Of course, the fault was of none other than the mighty Niladri Sengupta.
If it was not for his stupid approach, she wouldn't have to face this day now.
Turning around she couldn't help but throw daggers towards him through her eyes.
In the whole process, nobody noticed the stupid grin on Niladri's face when Prachi introduced him as her friend and Adam assumed him to be her boyfriend. He felt so proud of himself.  He was selfish enough to ignore the gravity of Prachi's poor situation now.

Prachi had been a sincere employee in this company for 4years. Everyone in this company knew her for her hard work and sincerity. Moreover, it was Mr. Bryan Torcelli, father of that grumpy boss of her who gave her the job. The whole incident was like a drastic humiliation in front of the world. Her self-respect was hurt now.

She hid the pain of humiliation in her eyes and told the selfish prig in front of her in utmost disgust :
"I can't believe you are so sick that you are feeling this situation funny. And you claim to love me. Are you sure you know the meaning of love? Or is it an only obsession for you? When you got obsessed with Shrestha, you didn't think twice before using me. And then after so many years, you decided you needed me. I won't even ask what happened to your 'true love. But let me ask you one thing. Is it any kind of sick game to you or have I been always a joke to you? You better not follow me again. You and I will never happen again. It is my good luck that I am free from your mind games now. So just stay away and don't provoke me to take any action against you."
After pouring her heart out, she didn't waste a single second there and entered the office to save her job at any cost. She needed it more than anything now.
