Y/N practically throws himself out of bed and proceeds to go about his daily routine quickly. He then drops to the ground and begins to scramble along the floor until he gets to the door. He flings it open and rushes outside. Kei and Mai are speaking with each other. Y/N rushes over and stops in front of them.

Y/N: "Gooooood Morning"

Kei: "Wow you're happy today"

Y/N: "Uh huh"

Kei: "Oh by the way tha-"

Y/N holds up his hand to stop Kei.

Y/N: "Not to be rude but let's skip all of the usual chit chat and get down to business"

Kei: "Oh... Okay!"

Kei smiles and throws her book open. She smiles as she hands Y/N his next quest.

Kei: "Go and collect some stuff"

Y/N: "Alright thanks"

Y/N then turns to Mai who looks at him with a blush.

Mai: "What?"

Y/N: "Are you going to do that thing today?"

Mai: "What thing?"

Y/N: "You know, the thing"

After a few seconds of thinking Mai realizes and blushes deeper. She covers herself and growls at him.

Mai: "You pervert! You probably like it when I do that!"

Y/N: "Uh huh, sure, whatever"

Y/N then takes off running while waving.

Y/N: "Okay see you girls later"

He calls a wingdrake and takes off. Leaving Mai and Kei shocked at how fast he was going.

Mai: "What's his rush"

Kei: "I don't know"

???: "He's doing a speedrun"

Kei and Mai turn around to see Sean approaching.

Mai: "A what?"

Sean: "Speedrun, something some of us Hunters do"

Kei: "What is a speedrun"

Sean: "Try to go and do multiple tasks in the allotted time"

Mai reaches into her quest book and gives Sean a quest.

Mai: "Is there a reason you do it"

Sean: "Just for a bit of money"

Kei: "How much?"

Sean: "Well the winner this time around gets... 300,000, second gets 150,000, and third gets 50,000"

Kei and Mai are stunned at this.

Kei: "You put up that much just to see who can get jobs done the fastest?"

Sean: "It's not really that much"

Kei ponders this thought and soon comes up with some questions.

Kei: "Hey isn't this a little unfair, depending on the quest you are given it might take longer than the rest"

Sean: "Shhhhhhh, it's for the sake of plot"

Kei: "What? All I'm saying is that certain types of quests would take a completely different amount of time to finish based on the difficulty of said quest"

Sean: "Stop... they will hear you"

Kei: "Who?

Sean: "The ones out there"
