All That Glitters: Kulve Taroth

A/N: Not a "main story" chapter, just one of the backlog chapters I meant to do.

It was just another normal day in Astera,  the wind was a gentle breeze flowing through the treetops as the birds chirped and wildlife thrived. Yes, this day was wealthy and abundant with life, a very prosperous day... but not everyone is experiencing this. Y/N grumbles as her rummaged through his personal equipment box.

Y/N: "Come on, this can't be possible."

Kei walks into the room, curious as to why she hasn't seen him out and about for the day.

Kei: "Hey, Y/N! Are you in here?"

She spots him and heads over, leaning down to watch his antics.

Kei: "Whatcha lookin for? Missing something important."

Y/N picks himself up and sighs as he looks at Kei with a head shake. Rolling his hand in explanation, he starts off with a groan of annoyance.

Y/N: "Kei... I have no money... what happened to all of it?"

Kei places a hand on her chin and rubs it. The Pukei-Pukei girl's yellow eyes roll around in thought, trying to come up with an answer to his question.

Kei: "Well, now that I think about it... majority of your quests end up with you fucking the monster instead of hunting it... so in reality you wouldn't really get any money for those quests since they aren't completed."

The realization causes Y/N to facepalm and shake his head. Of course, the answer was right there. He didn't lose his money, he just never got it to begin with since he rarely fulfilled the quests he undertook. Kei crouches down and places a hand on his shoulder.

Kei: "We all make mistakes in the heat of passion, Y/N. Lucky for you I have a plan on how we can get some money quickly."

Y/N: "Oh really and what does this plan entail, huh?"

Kei grins wide, her long sticky tongue flicking out to wet her lips before letting out a soft giggle.

Kei: "I'm sure you know of a little place called the Caverns of El Dorado and about the elder dragon species that lives there, don't you?"
