Poem 4 {Six Months & Still Waiting}

I never thought I'd still be here

Six months later and still crumbled and torn

I'm shattered on the floor gasping for breath

And all I can see is you walking away

All that you left behind was a freshly cut scar

My emotions are raw

And my lips tremble, struggling to fake a smile

I am alone and distant,

My phone sitting still, silent

My days are spent returning to the past

Why did you give that all up?

You said you knew me so well

Is that why you left?

To see me disintegrate in front of you?

Do you still find it amusing?

You said you couldn't live without me

Is that what you're telling her now?

Six months later and I'm still waiting,

For my door to fly open and for you to walk in

I'm still waiting for my life to glow vibrantly

I'm still waiting for those scars to heal

Wait as I try and gain my breath
