Ulla's POV(past):
Three trials down, four more to go.
it's been almost two and a half weeks...
it seems like Donella is getting more impatient.
As exciting as this was, i don't think either of us planned to be away from our families for so long...
my poor baby boy must be so worried...
I'll be home soon, Varian..
i promise....
Elizabeth's POV(present):
"Varian! Hugo! Will you two stop arguing!? Maybe it would be better if one of us carried them" Nuru said.
"No no, it's fine" Varian said taking the air totem from Hugo.
"Still don't trust me?" Hugo asked.
"It's not that" Varian said "it's that we made a deal that i would carry the totems, so zip it!"
He put the air totem in his bag and we made our way back to the animals.
"You know" Nuru said "you're not getting anywhere very fast with just horses"
"We don't have any other way though and walking would take even longer" i said.
"we could use a caravan" Nuru said.
She led us to a run down caravan.
"I come here to think sometimes, i think it still works if we replace some parts" she said, taping one of the wheels.
"Not a bad idea!" Yong said.
After some repairs it was mostly good as new.
"Let's just hope it doesn't rain" Nuru said "Ellie, Yong, come on in, you two stay out here and take turns driving, maybe then you can learn to get along"
Varian and Hugo glared at eachother.
"Fine" they said in unison, climbing onto the drivers seat.
Varian's POV: a little later
"So, Blue Streak" Hugo got my attention.
"What?" I asked.
"Plan on asking your girl the big question soon?" He asked.
"I haven't really thought about it yet...i've been busy..." i said "besides we're still a little to young"
"Aren't you both 18?"
"I turned 18 like a few weeks ago"
"Still, you're legally old enough" Hugo said.
"I'd give it at least a few months" i said.
"Maybe when this adventure of yours is over"
"Maybe, i mean it's not that i don't want to... i just don't know the right time or place, it was the same way when i first had to find the courage to tell her i loved her, and it didn't happen until after we defeated an ancient demon monster!"
"Ancient..de- you guys helped defeat Zhan Teri!?" Hugo asked.
"Uh..yeah..." i said.
"So you know about the work of Demanitus!?" He asked.
"Are you kidding me!? I translated his entire scroll" i said.
"Tell me everything!" He said.
"Well we would have to start from the beginning, four years ago, i was 14"
The next morning
"And then i said to Rapunzel, 'you'd be suprised what people will tell you for a cookie' she freaked out! Gonna be honest I felt kinda bad but at the time i was so lazer focused on freeing my dad i didn't think twice about-"
"Good morning guys" Ellie poked her head out of the caravan.
"Oh!" Hugo got startled by her sudden appearance.
"Good morning, Ellie" i said kissing her on the cheek.
"I said it before i'll say it again, get a room you two" Hugo said.
"Oh look" Ellie pointed ahead "i think that's Galcrest over there!"
"Earth kingdom here we come!"
