"The bully's parents are trying to charge the other kid with attempted murder."

You let out a tired sigh at the secretary's words. "And I'm supposed to fight for the bully's right, aren't I?" He nods, a concerned expression finding its way onto his face as you sigh once again while skimming through your documents. "You could always decline the case-"

"Of course not! That kid did drive him to jump off a building. Even though he's a bully, he still has a right to be defended. Which just so happens to be my job."

The secretary still looks unsure, nervously tapping his pen against the stack of documents he's holding. "But I heard the other kid has an incredible lawyer to defend him... He's never failed a case." You smile at him, a soft expression on your face as you collect your own documents into a pile.

"Well, lucky for him, I've never failed one either."

"Goddammit!"

Your drink comes crashing down against the countertop as you yell, the bartender flinching at the loud noise. "Damn it all to hell! Why?!" Your fist joins your drink, repeatedly slamming against the counter as the bartender prays you won't end up breaking anything. Unsure of what to do to calm you down, the bartender decides to asks you what's wrong.

"I lost a case for the first time. Me, a lawyer, I've never failed before in my life! Yet, this dumbass male with some lame-ass pompadour comes in out of nowhere and ruins it for me!"

Sighing at you, the bartender silently refills your glass before sliding it over to you with a smile. "If you're both lawyers, you must understand that the judge only sided with the person they believed was right. That doesn't mean you're a bad lawyer, it just means the person you were defending was a bad... person."

As your sad eyes find your newly refilled drink, you give the bartender a short thanks before softly sipping on it. "I mean... The kid he was defending obviously hadn't done anything wrong, he had just saved his friend from a group of bullies. Still, the fact that his glare was enough to make one of the bullies jump off a school building clearly states that something's wrong with him..."

As you squint your eyes while staring at the suddenly almost empty glass, the bartender can't help but believe that kid's glare must've been equally as terrifying as yours. "Look, I get that it must suck to lose a case. I don't blame you for drinking your loss away. Still, you get paid for your work regardless and if that kid really didn't do anything other than glare at the bully, then justice was rightfully served, wasn't it?"

You let out a tired groan while you hide your face against the table. "It's not just about the money though... I just feel so... useless..." You let out another groan, only for it to slowly turn into a frustrated yell instead, earning attention from other people around the bar. "Goddammit! That lawyer... I'm-a-goon-i, whatever his name is, I hate him!"

Your abused fist is starting to look equally as flushed as your face, the loud bangs it makes on the counter drowning out the sound of the door opening. "That dumb little... His stupid hair... I wanna kick his-"

"What are you doing here?!"

Instantly flinching at his voice as you had already heard it enough today, you quickly turn around to face him at the door. "What are you doing here?!" Hitoya stares at you for a moment before letting out a sigh and sitting himself next to you.

"Isn't that obvious? I came here to celebrate my win."

The bartender quickly makes a terrified face as you yourself look like you're about to smash your empty glass against the counter, slowly backing away from you until there's a safe distance. "That's funny." You snarl as he asks the bartender for a glass of whisky. "I came here to drown out my loss, yet here you are! Ready to shove your win further down my throat as if it doesn't sting more than that goddamn whisky!"
