Thursday at Noon

❣︎ Yora ❣︎

The meeting lasted a little over an hour just like Michael predicted. I just sat in the corner as they talked on about whatever.

Every now and again Michael would cut small glances at me. They weren't even those types of looks, but it had the same affect on me because.... well, it's him.

He walked me out to his car. It wasn't his Bentley this time, but a Mercedes. This man had money.

He had an hour interval where he didn't have to run ramped to make a meeting on time, so he offered to take me out for lunch.

It blew my mind how comfortable and casual he could be with me. I'll never understand why he was so shy the morning after.

"Do you have any places in mind?" He asked as he started the car.

"Not in particular, no. I'll eat wherever." I answered.

He chuckled. "Do you really mean that? Because if I pick a spot and you don't like it-"

"I'm not picky." I interrupted.

"Every woman says that, then they turn their noses up at everything. Do you really mean that?" He asked again.

"I'm not 'every woman.' Now just pick a place." I said. He was starting to make it hard to be shy around him. I was getting more annoyed.

He almost looked pleased, maybe even intrigued by me half snapping at him. I'm sure no woman's done that to him before.

"I like that answer. You're right." He said.

I leaned back in my seat with a smug smile on my face. "Damn right I am."

He drove a little longer and turned into the parking lot of an Italian restaurant.

I smiled. "See? I told you I'd be down for anything. Especially pasta."

He turned the car off and stepped out so he could open the passenger side door for me. He even did as much to grab my hand and help me out. I didn't need his help, but I didn't think turning my nose up at it would be the best idea.
