Friday Afternoon

❣︎ Yora ❣︎

The dove flew over everyone's head as it was released into the air. It was free now. Just like Gran.

The service actually helped. Being surrounded by people who Gran had touched during her time here was nice. It still stung, but it made me happy.

Ta'rae draped her arm over my shoulder and handed me a tissue. I lightly dapped my eyes of its tears as we watch her casket lowered into the ground. It brought me back to six months ago when I had to watch my mother get buried.

The mention of his name caused me a tense up slightly. Now that the funeral was over, I had a date with him coming up. I still couldn't get over how selfish and insensitive he was for that, but he has given me a total of forty-seven thousand dollars.

Not that you can put a price on me, but maybe I could give him a little bit of my time. Just an evening.

It might not even be that bad. Hopefully...
