Finding Out The Truth

"I bet he can," Annabeth told Nico.
"I hope so, or else we went through all that trouble for nothing." Nico muttered, "Ready, Perce?"
Percy grabbed the surf board that he recently bought just for this occasion.
Nico, Annabeth, and Percy had all climbed into a rented car and drove all the way to the beach, just to find out if Percy can "surf really well".
Once arrived at the beach, Percy got ready. "What if I fall off the board?" Percy asked.
"You're a son of Poseidon, you'll be fine." Nico said, taking a sip from the soda can he brought with him.
"Here goes nothing," Percy said under his breath.
It only took one try. Percy, after waiting for a big enough of a wave, stood up on his board, and almost instantly fell in the water once the wave hit him.
A few seconds later, Percy appeared completely dry surfing a wave. His board washed up on the shore.
Nico glanced at the board, then to the happy Percy who was shouting with glee. "I guess that was a waste of money."
Annabeth chuckled, "Sure was, but Percy's happiness is making up for it."
Nico agreed.
