Thamuz woke up without Careen on his side. Napabalikwas siya ng bangon at hinanap ang nobya. But he couldn't see her on his room. Napatingin siya sa note na naiwan sa ibabaw ng bedside table niya. Agad niya kinuha 'yon at binasa.

Babe I didn't bother to wake you up ang sarap ng tulog mo kasi nakakainggit. As much as I want to be with you but I need to go home now baka hinanap na ako sa bahay. I love you babe.

P.S. I cooked some breakfast for you. Kumain ka bago pumasok.

He smiled after her note. She's the sweetest ever in his life. He remembered what happened last night 'til dawn. He really can't believe what just happened. Feeling niya nananaginip lang siya. But hell no, it's not just a dream. It was for real.

But he still couldn't believe it. She was his first and surely will be the last one too. He smiled, para siyang timang na ngingiti-ngiti. Daig niya ang nanalo sa lotto. Napakasuwerte talaga niya dito. He promised he will take care of her, at lalo niya itong mamahalin pa.

His phone rang at agad iyong sinagot thinking it's his girlfriend without looking on his screen.

"Babe—"

"Thamuz—" boses lalaki kaya napakunot ang noo niya. Saglit inilayo ang phone at tiningnan kung sino ang tumatawag. It's unregistered number.

"Who is this?" He asked.

"This is attorney Corpuz, your dad needs you here at Dela Rama building. ASAP." He could feel that it was urgent.

"Is there any problem?"

"I can't tell you over the phone. Just come here now. We'll be waiting for you." After that he ended the call.

He blows a loud breath at ibinaba ang phone. Akmang babangon na siya when his phone rang again.

Damn! Ang aga-aga andaming natawag.

He took his phone again. Now it's Clint calling him. Nagtatakang sinagot niya iyon.

"What is it Thompson?" Magkasalubong ang kilay niya.

"Goodmorning to you too fucker!" Sagot nito but he just smirked.

"Ano nga?"

"How are you? Have you seen the news?" Sunod-sunod na tanong nito.

"News? What news?" He asked.

"Damn man! Where the hell are you at hindi mo alam nangyayari?! Fuck it Dela Rama, your company is all over the news. It's at stake! Get your ass off now! We'll meet you there!" And the line dead.

What the hell is happening?!

Dali-dali siyang naligo at nagbihis. He took a sandwich na gawa ng nobya bago umalis. Halos mamura na niya ang daan dahil sa sobrang traffic. It almost took an hour bago siya nakarating.

His friends was already there at siya ang pinakahuling dumating. He took the backdoor dahil marami daw press ang nakaabang sa labas ng building nila.

He saw his dad na halos problemado. Katabi nito si attorney Corpuz. Sinulyapan niya muna ang mga kaibigan na nagsitango lamang habang nag-aantay ng sasabihin niya.

"Dad, what happened?" He worriedly asked.

"S—son..." Tila nagulat ito ng makita siya.

"I called him sir, I'm sorry but there's is no other way. Maybe your son could help us. He's your only son after all." Anang abogado.

"Why you didn't tell me? What's going on?" Naguguluhang saad niya. He doesn't have any idea. Ang ama niya kasi ang nagmamanage ng company nila. Habang siya ay busy sa pagpapakadalubhasa bilang doctor. But now he's graduated already pero wala namang nasasabi ang ama niya na problema tungkol sa kompanya nila.
