My eyes opened slowly, everything blurry at first.

I thought for a moment, memories flooding back as I looked around- examining the atmosphere.

(From here on out, there are spoilers for Little Nightmares II.)

It looked like..a school? The heck-

The lights flickered, a slight buzzing sound being produced from them.

I stood up, rubbing the dust off my clothes.

Hm..wonder what's ahead. Probably nothing good, but hey- might as well.

I smiled a bit, walking forward-

However.. that smile quickly faded as I heard a loud bang.

What..what the-

I continued on, peeking through the corner to see another person like me being kidnapped by these doll mannequin things.

I widened my eyes, running past them.

The mannequins screeched, quickly following.

Ah god..why did I have to come this way- I'm gonna die, I'm gonna die—

It seems they let go of the girl..at least I saved someone.

I slid into what seemed like a janitors closet- which was barricaded on the top- but left just enough room for me to slip through.

The mannequins screeched more, attempting to break the wood.

That wood won't last long- and this is a dead end..

I mentally facepalmed myself- fear trickling throughout my body.

I heard more screeches.. yet they sounded.. almost full of pain?

Suddenly- an eerie silence took place.

Then..

I heard something break the wood down- and it looked like a..

A boy in a paper bag along with a girl with short hair?

"Hey- there's no need to cry- you're safe..for now at least." A calming voice erupted from the paper hat boy.

Huh? I was crying?

I quickly wiped my tears, hugging my knees.

What if they hurt me- I mean..they have that hammer.

What if they wanna kill me?

"Uh..we won't hurt you." The girl said, sounding a bit hesitant.

"And..thanks for helping me back there." She smiled, which made me feel a bit better.

"I..it's- nothing..-" I said with a hoarse, raspy voice.

"Say- what if you joined us?" The boy said, coming a lot closer.

By a lot closer.. I mean our faces were almost touching.

"I- uh- o-okay!" I squealed, pushing him away.

"Alright!~ it's settled. We'd better get going now." He said gleefully, as if being in a world full of monsters who want to kill you is a wonderful thing.

"W-wait!" I said, causing them both to halt and look at me.

"Your..your names- what are they..?" I gulped.

The boy face palmed.

"How dumb of me.. my names Mono, and that's-"

"Six. My names Six." She interrupted.

"O-okay! My names Y/N." I said, trying to smile the best I can-

"Nice to meet you Y/N~ now, let's get going already!" He walked off, and by instincts me and Six followed.
