We went in to the familiar restaurant that we used to go to.

Finally, she's back.

My cousin.

Jessi and I were really close when we were younger.

But ever since she went to US for work, we didn't get to communicate that often as she is busy.

She's a famous rapper and song-writer based on US.

I sometimes feel envious of her because of how talented and successful she is.

My thoughts were washed away once I saw her waving her hands in front of me.

"Lali! What are you gonna order?"

She said and put her face above her two hands.

"Oh sorry, I would want the usual please"

I whispered to her as she said my usual order to the waiter.

Once she finished ordering, she faced me and smiled.

I smiled back and touched her hands.

"I missed you Jess."

I said as I squeezed her hand softly.

"I missed you more baby cuz."

She said with her raspy voice.

"How are you and Tyler?"

Tyler is her long-time boyfriend and also co-artist.

They sometimes write songs together for famous artists.

"Oh and before I forget, I have to show you something."

She slowly retreated her hands from me and raised her left hand, as I saw a ruby colored ring on her ring finger.

I gasped as I slapped my hand onto my mouth and squealed silently.

She laughed at my state.

"When?"

I asked. A smile still visible on my face.

"Just the day before I went here."

"Then why are you here? You have to have your quality time together especially now that you two are engaged."

I asked as my brows furrowed.

"Oh come on, we always see each other and plus I already booked a ticket to go here so I cannot just waste that."

She answered.

As I was about to say something again, our food arrived and we just decided to dig in as we are both hungry.

In the middle of eating, I decided to check my phone to check if there's any messages from him.

I frowned as I saw that he haven't seen it yet.

Jessi seemed to notice my frown as she flicked my forehead.

"Yah why are you frowning? Is it because of a boy? Do I have to beat someone agai-"

"Unnieeee no need to do that."

I interrupted and whined.

"It's just this boy that I really liked and we just made up, but he's not seeing my message yet; and that is understandable because maybe he's just busy."

I shrugged my shoulders.

I saw her eyes soften and she held my hands.

"I'm just worried Lis. I just don't want you to be messed up again just because of a boy."

I sighed and smiled at her.

"Don't worry unnie. I'm sure that he won't hurt me this time."

Am I really sure?
