ACT TWO, CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT
Sleeping Beauty

─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───

THE FIRST THING ANDI WOKE UP TO WAS THE COACH WALKING ONTO THE BUS WHERE SHE, ISAAC AND THEIR FRIENDS SPENT THE NIGHT. She rubbed her eyes as the coach started raising his voice like he always did, telling them that the cross country meet was cancelled so they were heading back to Beacon Hills. She looked around and realized that she was lying right on top of Isaac and he yawned as he scratched his head.

"Care to tell me how I ended up sleeping on top of you when I'm pretty sure I fell asleep on that seat over there?" she asked as she pointed at the seat three spots in front of them.

"You were tossing and turning a lot and I thought you were gonna fall off," Isaac said with a crooked smile.

"That and it was keeping us awake," Stiles said and Andi glared at him. "Shutting up."

Andi sat up and put her hair into a messy ponytail while Isaac leaned against the window. "Again, I'm really sorry about what happened last night," he said.

"Don't worry about it. I know it wasn't you. It was like you were under a compulsion spell of some kind, like you were under someone's control," Andi replied as the two of them shifted so they were sitting up side by side.

"Did you get that by looking inside my head?" Isaac asked.

"Actually, I don't like to look in other people's heads without their consent or their knowledge 'cause it feels violating. Although, I will make an exception for two people on this bus," Andi replied. "Kendall and Ethan."

"I thought you couldn't get inside his, or any of the alphas' heads," Isaac said while Andi looked over the seats to see Ethan and Kendall looking ahead.

"Listen carefully. I don't think they're listening right now, but I can't tell you this here. It's too big a risk so we need to wait until we get back to Beacon Hills and I can get the materials I need," she said quietly and Isaac nodded.

Now all they had to do was wait hours before they could get back to Beacon Hills so Andi could tell Isaac what she found out during the trip. At least they would be back home but they still had some problems that they needed to take care of. Even outside of town, the Darach was still able to get to them. Not that leaving was ever an option but even if it was, they were all in it too deep. If Andi were to go back to her parents, everything in Beacon Hills would follow her there and it would only put other people in danger.

Even though it was going to be hours before they all returned to Beacon Hills, they still needed some way to pass the time so they wouldn't fall back asleep. Andi was still tired from the events of the night and sleeping on a school bus with a six foot two werewolf and she was starting to doze off but Isaac nudged her shoulder.

"Don't fall asleep yet, Sleeping Beauty," he said with a toothy grin.

"Ha ha, funny," Andi replied sarcastically as she slouched beside him.

"You clearly didn't sleep very well last night," he said and Andi gave him a pointed look.

"Well, instead of sleeping in a crappy and very creepy motel room, I was sleeping on a school bus and next thing I know I woke up on top of a skinny six foot two lacrosse player," she said as she tilted her head.

"Again, you were tossing and turning and I was scared you were gonna fall off the seat!" Isaac said in his defence.

"Why were you still up anyway?" Andi asked.

"A dark Druid nearly drove me to suicide so pardon me for being too paranoid to go to sleep right away," he answered.

"That is a very good explanation," Andi said. She inhaled slowly as she sat up and looked at him. "Do you remember what you said to me last night at the vending machine?"

Isaac swallowed the lump in his throat as he looked out the window. "Kind of," he replied.

"Even though you were under some sort of influence, was there any truth to what you said?" Andi asked as Isaac seemed to only get more nervous.

"Look, Andi, I'm sorry if anything I said or did last night made you uncomfortable but I don't wanna talk about this right now," he said, refusing to look at her.

She could entirely forget about what she said earlier and look inside his head but she would never violate him like that. So she sighed as she nodded and looked forward. "We don't have to talk about it now, but I think we should talk about it at some point. Just let me know when you're ready," she said and Isaac nodded as he continued to look outside the window.

The rest of the ride to Beacon Hills was a little more awkward with the silence between them but Andi figured that with everything that he and the others went through the night before, maybe they could use a moment of silence.

Andi looked around and saw the others seemed to be doing alright, especially the werewolves on the bus. But one thing that did cross her mind was the question of why the Darach affected four werewolves if they only needed three for their sacrifices. What would be the point of a fourth one if they had all succeeded in committing suicide? It didn't make sense and the only logical explanation she could think of was maybe the Darach wanted to be prepared. But also, when Finstock blew his whistle that Lydia found out had wolfsbane in it, it would've affected all the werewolves and not a select few. So maybe there was no point in questioning it. The Darach was still pulling the strings and so was the alpha pack waiting for them back in Beacon Hills.

Being a teenage werewolf was hard and so was being a teenage witch.
