ACT THREE, CHAPTER THIRTY-EIGHT
Snap Out of It

THE PEACE DID LAST FOR SOME TIME BUT LIKE ALWAYS, there was that one thing that would disrupt the peace and throw them into another spiral of insanity. Andi tried to enjoy it but it was hard when she knew it was only a matter of time before more issues reached Beacon Hills. For some reason, trouble always seemed to find them no matter how much they wanted to live a normal teenage life. But unfortunately, that wasn't very achievable for teenage werewolves and witches plus three humans, one who was a huntress, one who could sense death and one who was just simply human. They were definitely not an ordinary group of small town teenagers.

"You're overthinking again," Isaac said as he watched Andi bite her nails and she looked at him with brown eyes wide with surprise.

"I'm not overthinking," she replied and Isaac scoffed as he put his pen down.

"Your fingernails are pretty much stubs from how much you're biting them and you have that crease on your forehead that gives it all away. Plus," he said as he leaned closer to her until his lips grazed the shell of her ear. "I can smell you."

Andi's back suddenly became stiff and her heart started pounding as she rubbed her temples. "Isaac, we are in the middle of the library right now," she said as she put her hands down on the table.

"Okay but seriously, I can smell the anxiety off you," Isaac said.

"I just can't help but think about that missing chapter. What was it about? Who would take it and why? And why did the Argents have it?" Andi asked, question after question but no answers for any of them.

"Maybe it wasn't Chris who had it around. Maybe it was Gerard," Isaac said which made Andi sigh nervously.

"That actually sounds worse, especially since we don't know what happened to Gerard that night we saved Jackson," she said.

"Gerard did say he loved a good witch hunt. Maybe he had it so he would know every possible trick a witch could pull so he'd be ready," Isaac said while shrugging his shoulders.

"He could just use the tuning fork but Kali had it, which I still don't know how that happened. It's the ultimate weapon against witches. Forget hanging and being burned at the stake, just use a tuning fork that can violently disrupt a witch's psychic connections and give them a splitting headache until they can't take it anymore and drop dead," Andi scoffed as she picked up her pen to keep writing notes but the topic was still bothering her.
