Song: "Kung Fu Fighting" by Carl Douglas
"Everybody was Kung Fu Fighting
Those kicks were fast as lightning
In fact, it was a little bit frightening
But they fought with expert timing."
You were feeling especially frustrated, so you decided to go to the gym where you practiced judo. Time to go beat up some over confident assholes. Punching and kicking people is better than any therapy you could get. You had trained consistently since your childhood. This was a new place with new faces, so you had to make a name for yourself. If you showed them what you can do, they'd respect you more.
You walked onto the flow and Kurenai, one of the instructors, smiled at you. She had been expecting you apparently. Sometimes you thought she had a second sense when it came to your negative aura.
"y/n is here everyone. Since she doesn't do classes, we'll put her up against some of our best." Kurenai announced cheerfully. "Karin you are the most advanced student in this intermediate class, so you'll be up against y/n."
Karin stepped in front of you in an Orthodox sparring stance, her fists slightly curved inwards. You didn't know if it was incorrect form or a specialized position for her fighting style. You took up an Orthodox sparring stance as well, to balance the starting position, but held your left fist at eye level and your right fist at chest level.
"What's that position?" someone asked.
"It's sloppy." Another added.
Karin's expression said the same as the latter person. You smiled. Kurenai must have taught them only one sparring stance variation. Karin was underestimating you.
Kurenai set the timer on her phone. "Two minutes," she announced. "First three points win. No head strikes or you're disqualified. Touch fists. And... Go."
You circled the center of the floor, gazes locked. You slid to deliver a roundhouse at Karin's ribs. Karin ducked a bent arm down to block, so you recoiled before you fully locked out your leg. You circled again.
"So I heard you've been spending a lot of time with Sasuke." Karin said while you circled each other again.
"He's my friend why wouldn't I spend time with him?" You asked, with a frown on your face.
"Back off! He's mine!" Karin snarled as she swept in with a whip-like roundhouse.
"Geez I don't like him! Why does no one believe me?" You spat back. You checked the kick with your shin and blocked an immediate double-punch to your chest with two quick parries, one with each forearm.
She latched onto your neck and forced your head down, pulling your head down with a painful tug toward her hip. Her knee rose... To strike you in the chest? You blocked with your forearm and reached around her waist with your other arm. You hugged her to your chest and was at a loss of attacks to use. You pushed her back with the arm that had blocked her knee and cross-stepped in with a push kick to her stomach.
She spun on her back leg, using her falling momentum in a three-sixty kick that you didn't know. You dropped to the floor and kicked you leg out, copying a leg sweep that you had seen before. Karin rolled to her feet, face flushed.
Her next punch was aimed at your face. You pushed with your forearm so that her punch scraped off your block and exposed the right side of her face. You stepped in, slipped her into a headlock, and then applied the choke until she tapped out, digging her nails into your arm.
Kurenai blinked, her jaw slack, and her timer halfway to one-minute. "That's not traditional sparring...but who cares? It's just practice." Kurenai clapped.
You heard people whispering. "y/n practices alone, but she's way better than Karin. She's only been here for a few weeks and she's already better than any of us. Better than Instructor Kurenai. I would hate to fight her if she went all out. Theres only one person that could maybe beat her... That's..."
A sudden silence fell across everyone. Sasuke walked out of the corner where he had apparently been for a while. "Captain on the floor. Say hello!" Kurenai stated.
"Hello Captain Sasuke!" The students stated. Sasuke nodded at them, then the students dropped their stiff posture and large smiles.
You burst out laughing. "Oh my god! Sasuke you're trying way too hard to look serious and there's this crease between your eyebrows! I can't!" You gasped through your laughter.
"Idiot." He said, rolling his eyes but smiling.
"You're like a grumpy old man! If you keep making that expression, your eyebrow crease will be permanently indented!" You giggled. You stopped shellshocked. "I just... Giggled." You stated, eyes wide in amazement.
It was Sasuke's turn to laugh. "You dumbass. Have you never giggled before?" He asked loudly.
"Oh shut up, Sausage." You retorted. Someone snickered and Sasuke's head shot towards them. The person went silent instantly. "Sausage stop scaring all the students. You look so scary." You said, pulling on one of his cheeks.
"Ouch stop that! And stop calling me Sausage!" Sasuke protested, flailing his arms in an attempt to get you to release his cheek. You let it go and he frowned, rubbing at his cheek.
"The great Sasuke Uchiha everyone." You stated sarcastically, waving your arms towards the glowering mess next to you.
"Is Sasuke... Laughing?" Karin asked in shock.
You frowned. "He doesn't laugh in front of you? Sasuke laughs and smiles in front of me all the time." You stated with a small glare in his direction. "Anyways I'll work on making Sausage less emo and more smiley. See you later." You continued, walking outside.
A guy walked up to you as you left. "I know I don't know you, but I'm Gaara. I uhm... Sort of... How to say it? Fell in love with you at first sight. Watching you fight was unbelievable. You're amazing. I know you don't know me, but give me a chance?" He asked, green eyes wide open.
"I'm sorry, but I just got out of a relationship, and the breakup was a bit messy... Here I'll give you my number so we can at least be friends, so text me sometime and we can hangout." You said, putting your number into his phone.
"I understand. Thank you so much for considering my feelings. I really appreciate this. I uhm... have never liked anyone before so this is a bit new to me..." He trailed off, eyes looking down. He was adorable.
He kissed your cheek and ran back into the dojo before you could react. You roughly rubbed the spot where he kissed, your face bright red.
After you left, Sasuke beat up Gaara in a judo match. Everyone was surprised that Sasuke challenged someone to a match. Needless to say, Gaara was a bloody pulp by the end of the match.
I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter! As I said before, I don't do judo, but I did a shit ton of research about it as a sport.
Song is a bit unrelated but honestly, I love it and I don't really give a shit about it relating (okay maybe I give a small shit xD)

Remember: I love you guys, so remember to love yourself <3
