Song: "Beat it" by Micheal Jackson

"Just beat it, beat it, beat it, beat it

No one wants to be defeated."

"Alright class, here's the next problem! Four times the first of three consecutive even integers is six more than the product of two and the third integer. Find the integer. Who can answer this question and explain why?" Kakashi the math teacher questioned. No one raised their hands and he called on Sasuke.

"One second sensei. I'm still working. I'm almost done..." Sasuke muttered as he scribbled on his paper.

"Will someone help out Sasuke?" Kakashi asked. Everyone raised their hands except you. You crossed your arms firmly, and double checked your answer in your head. "y/n! Help out Sasuke." Kakashi ordered loudly.

"Alright so the first integer is 7, the second is 9, and the last is 11." You responded in a bored tone, because you had learned this a long time ago so you had no idea why you were reviewing this. You thought this was supposed to be an advanced math class. That was utter bullshit.

"Good job! How did you get this?" Kakashi asked, with his usual half smile thing on his face.

"There's equations for each integer. First integer = x, second integer = x+2, and the third integer = x+4. Since four times the first integer equals six more than the product of two and the first integer. So it would be 4x = 6+2(x+4). Then you simplify by using the distributive property which gives you 4x = 6+2x+8. After that you would minus 2x from both sides. That leaves you with 2x = 14. Divide by two and you have x = 7. Then plug x in in every equation we started with." You explained as simply as you could.

"Thank you y/n, you can sit now. Does anyone not understand?" Kakashi questioned. Everyone nodded and he smiled. "Good." He finished.

You stared out the window and doodled in the margins of your paper most of the class. Kakashi let you fool around some of the time. But since you weren't paying attention most of the time he called on you often to set an example which you disliked.

"y/n! What's 5349 to the third power?" Kakashi questioned.

"28,611,801." You responded, doing the math in your head instantly. You had previously trained yourself to be able to use your brain as an instant calculator.

"Two is 10% of x and 20% of y . What is x-y?" Kakashi asked again.

"10." You replied quickly, once again. Kakashi looked a little confused but a little surprised as well.

RING! The bell rang and everyone started packing up. "Everyone can go but y/n. I need to tell you something.

Kakashi smiled and you were a bit nervous. He only smiled like that when something really good or something really bad was about to happen. "y/n you're going to move up to the next year in math starting next week. Obviously this is too easy if you can do all of these in your head in only a second or so. I'm impressed but also saddened. I'm loosing a great student. If you ever have any questions just ask me." He stated.

"Thank you." You replied before heading outside. As you felt the sun hit your face you smiled in delight.

You had beat Sasuke Uchiha once again.

I hope you all enjoyed! I've been writing more again :) I'm very proud of that fact because for the past 5 months or so I've been hit by terrible writers block. It's hard for me to get inspired so writing is a definite challenge sometimes.

EDIT (8/26/17): hey y'all this math isn't hard if you're a junior (or older) in high school like the story.  i'm just saying this because i'm getting a lot of spam comments that are almost all the same. i am so thankful for readers of any age to support me and my stories, but this math is correct/easy for the age that the reader is in the story.

ANOTHER EDIT (11/17/19): this math is meant for middle schoolers tbh like i just used these problems bc i'm not trying to write AP calculus problems (yes i took AP calculus junior year of high school) into my stories bc that's just not entertaining. whether you can or cannot do this homework, i hope you can enjoy this story :^)
