(A/N Hi everyone! I know I posted this yesterday but I didn't like the ending so I re-wrote the ending and fixed some grammar mistakes. Have fun!)

As Tanaka wandered through the cold halls of the starship Flight he felt his mood grow steadily worse. Ever since he had taken over as captain of the ship two starfalls ago, he had felt weird. Maybe it was just weird jitters of being a new captain, but he couldn't shake the feeling that he was always being watched. Observed.
He shook his head. Having thoughts like that so early in the morning surely wasn't good for his health.
"Hey, Tanaka!" He heard from behind him. The bald male turned and saw the smiling face of his friend and crewmate, Ennoshita.
"Hey, Ennoshita. What's up?" The bald male replied, slowing his pace as to allow the brunette to catch up to him.
"Nothing important. I just wanted to walk to the caf with you." At that Ennoshita smiled, and Tanaka couldn't help but smile back. The boy's smile was infectious and Tanaka loved everything about it.
When they arrived at the cafeteria, Tanaka wasn't surprised that it was practically empty. It was still relatively early in the morning and the night shift people were still at their posts.
"Anything specific you want, Tanaka?" Ennoshita asked, walking towards the materializer.
"Just coffee and toast, thanks," Tanaka replied, sliding into one of the booths. Soon his order was placed in front of him and he started to eat, Ennoshita doing the same. After a few seconds of uncomfortable silence, Ennoshita asked,
"Do you want to listen to a song with me?" Tanaka nodded eagerly, happy to be rid of the awkward silence. It was also worth pointing out that Ennoshita had the best taste of music of anyone on the ship, so listening to music with him was always fun. Ennoshita pulled out his arrowhead and pressed a few buttons, making the small device come to life.
"What century are we thinking? Twentieth-century? Twenty-first?"
"Twentieth. Specifically the one thousand nine hundred seventies. Music from that decade is great." Tanaka said, smiling at the brunette across from him. Ennoshita gave a nod and started to scroll through the songs of the decade, finally deciding on one.
Soon the sound of old keyboards started up and Ennoshita said,
"Dancing Queen, ABBA. Released year one thousand nine hundred seventy-six. One of my favorites."
The two fell into a comfortable silence as the song played. Tanaka even caught Ennoshita humming along with the words, seeming to know them by heart.
Not long after the song had ended the official shift change/wake-up bell rang, making Ennoshita flinch. Distant shuffling could be heard, the tired people of the ship either waking up or going to sleep.
"Well, guess that's my cue. Off to mechanics!" Ennoshita said, picking up his trash and throwing it in the nearest disintegrator.
"Have a good day, Ennoshita!" Tanaka called, waving to the retreating crew member. The brunette waved back before disappearing through the cafeteria's door.
Tanaka quickly cleared the table and made his way to the bridge, sitting down in his chair with a groan. It was only six in the morning and he was already tired.
Tanaka heard the door open from behind him and saw the ship's navigator, Kinoshita, sit at his table, flipping through a few screens before leaning back in his chair, happy to know that they were still on course for the planet Emia 6692.
