Chase didn't tell me about his power, he just got up and left. His mom told me that Alphas from their bloodline were gifted with two powers and she also told me about Mr Travis' powers.

I couldn't help but wonder why he didn't tell me but no one seemed to want to tell me so I just shrugged it off even though I was dying with curiosity.

Today was a calm day since summer break started as we had nothing better to do.

After lunch Addy and I went to go watch a movie but I couldn't concentrate because I needed to know more about mates...more about being Chases mate.

I wanted to talk to him. I know the majority of the concept of mates from the book but there are just some things the book can't explain.

Things like, would he reject me, will I feel heat...

I couldn't help but hope he doesn't reject me. I didn't think I would be able to handle that. Especially with the immense attraction I feel for him.

It would also be embarrassing to be rejected by the one that was made for you.

I told Adeline that I'd be back and made my way to Chases room.

I felt nervous as the journey to his room was coming to a stop but the nerves weren't a surprise, I always felt nervous around him.

I knocked on the door and waited until I heard a confirmation to come in.

"Umm...hey can I talk to you" I asked him while fiddling with my fingers.

He was on his bed typing something on his phone.

"Yeah" he replied not bothering to look at me.

Breathe in Breathe out

"It's about me being you mate"

He looked up from his phone and i could see gold swirling in his silver grey eyes.

I learned that it usually means his wolf was on the surface. Isn't it weird that him and his wolf have a separate conscious.

But the gold quickly disappears as if it was never there.

"Okay so I wanna ask you a few questions about that"

"I thought the book already explained everything"

"Yeah but i have questions that were not answered by the book."

He nodded and i took that as a sign to continue.

I walked to the chair that was next to his bed and sat down.

"Am I gonna feel heat?" I asked hurriedly. The faster I get this done the better.

"Well only supernaturals feel heat and since you are not one...no" he chuckles.

I could feel red taint my cheeks. I nod my head in understanding then took a deep breath.

Next question.

"A-are you gonna reject me" I stuttered out. I honestly didn't want to know the answer anymore

He went silent.

The silence was killing me and scaring me.

He looked like he was having a internal battle with himself and that was never a good thing, it means he was contemplating the idea.

"No"

I almost sigh in relief but my relief was short lived.

"But, that doesnt mean i want to be with you"
