Marty woke up and looked up at the figure standing by the window. He was laying in a bed, in a dark room. His button-up, jacket, and vest were missing.

"Mom? That you?" He groaned. "There, there, now. Just relax." The figure approached him, grabbing the compress bag and putting it against Marty's forehead

"You've been asleep for almost nine hours now."

"I had a... A horrible nightmare." Marty mumbled. "I dreamed that I went back in time with Y/N. It was terrible." He added, cuddling the blanket closer.

The figure moved away "well... You're safe and sound now, back in good old 1955."

Marty's eyes shot open "1955?!"

The lights switched on and Marty turned, jumping up with a shocked expression.

There sat Lorraine, young face, slim figure...

"You're my mo-... You're my mo-" Marty's breath hitched as he struggled to form his words.

"My name is Lorraine. Lorraine Baines?" She said, taking her coat off.

"Yeah!" Marty breathed out. "But you're, uh-... You're so, uh-... You're so... Thin!"

"Just relax, Calvin. You got a big bruise on your head." Lorraine told him.

Marty's hand lifted to feel his forehead, feeling the small bump.

He pulled the covers off only to yank them back after seeing the lack of pants he had on. "Ah! Where are my pants?!" He asked Lorraine.

"O-over there..." She stuttered, pointing over to his pants "... On my hope chest."

Her eyes landed back on Marty "I've never seen purple underwear before, Calvin."

Marty's eyebrows stitched together "Calvin? Why- why do you keep calling me Calvin?" He asked.

"That is your name, isn't it? Calvin Klein?" Lorraine asked. "It's written all over your underwear!" She reached out to uncover the blanket, but Marty gasped and held it down.

Lorraine kept her hands close, laughing shyly "oh, I guess they call you Cal, huh?"

"No, actually people... Call me Marty." Marty forced a laugh. Lorraine lowered her hands "oh... Please to meet you, Calvin..." She got up "...Marty..." She moved to sit next to Marty "...Klein"

Marty awkwardly turned to face her. "Do you mind if I sit here?" She asked. "No..." Marty shook his head and scooted away. "No! Fine! no, good! Fine! Good! Uh- w-wait where- where's Y/N?" Marty looked around.

"Y/N?" Lorraine's smile faded. "Y-yeah! I was with her before I got hit. Where is she?" Marty's voice was more panicked than before.

"Is Y/N your girlfriend?"

Marty paused. He knew the answer. It was there, in his head, waiting to be said.

'My best friend' was all he had to say.

But he couldn't get it out. He wasn't sure why he couldn't tell her that Y/N was his best friend. He didn't know why he couldn't deny Lorraine's words.

Lorraine noticed his silence and frowned "Oh... I didn't know you had a girlfriend."

Marty snapped back into reality, finally able to correct her. "N-no! No, she's- she's- she's my... Best... Friend..." He said though the last parts were said in a whisper.
