Tohru: Goodbye Ms. Kobayashi!

Kobayashi: Bye Tohru.

The human women said before closing the door behind her and heading off to work. Watching the door for a bit, my smile dropped as I looked back towards the door of the half-breed's room. The smell clinging to the space like a sick aura that should be cleansed but forbidden to do so.

Tohru: I know what Ms. Kobayashi said, but why am I stuck with him all day.

The thought only dampened my mood, as I began to wash the dishes. Though, there were only two sets, the Half-breed hadn't even gotten up for breakfast. My first thoughts went to just shear laziness, but the look on his face after he came home hampered that conclusion. His expression a constant state of glum I'd never seen from him, even with my best attempts to get him to leave, it steered something in me, a curiosity of sorts.

Tohru: What does today even mean? What's different about this day then others?

I was muttering to myself, glancing over at his door again. Shaking my head after a few seconds, I returned to drying the plates with a soft glare.

Tohru: Why should I care? He's a half-breed. Nothing comes well from half-breeds...that's what father always said.

Setting the dishes aside, I moved to begin cleaning the rest of the apartment when a slight whimpering sound befell my ears. Though after brushing off, that same noise fell upon them again. I turned again, listening as for a third time it happened, all from within the depths of the half-breed's room.

Tohru: What is happening in there?

I said to myself before walking over, hand wrapping around the doorhandle before Ms. Kobayashi's words rang in my mine.

Tohru: You have to promise me to leave him be while I'm gone, ok? But what if he's fighting back some savage instinct, I cannot allow any harm to come to Ms. Kobayashi! Even if I have to break a promise.

I thought as at this point, the whines had changed into soft cries through the door, images of a monstrous transformation taking place steeled my hand as I turned the knob and entered the layer.

However, what lay within was far from what I expected. Instead of the half-breed growling and contorting as the beast within took shape, I saw him rolling around in bed. Sweat and tears drenched his face as he tossed in turned, muttering incoherently between cries and whimpers.

What should have been a beast, looked no more than any other human, a scared one at that. His expressions conveying the terror or pain that his mind was creating within the realm of a nightmare. Unsure of what compelled me next, I slowly crept forward and reached out a hand towards the distort man.

Tohru: Half-breed? - AHH!?

I yelled out as his eyes shot open, his draconic features appearing as he tried to get himself out of bed in a haphazard way. The sudden fright sent me onto my behind as the half-breed tumbled over the opposite side in a tangle of limbs and sheets. Screaming out in a frantic manner, his movements still wild and unpredictable.

F/N: Stay back, dragon! You won't take them from me! Gah!!!!

He cried and kept failing about, the sight of which I could only glimpse from my side as his wings and tail swung about, still caught upon the sheets he must have been trapped within. Feeling fear course through my blood, I did what first came to mind, less he potentially causes harm to himself, or the apartment as a whole.

Tohru: F/N!

I yelled, and he froze instantly. The rustling sounds came to an end as his wings and tail settled out of sight. Slowly, I got back up to my feet, slowly creeping towards the bed before F/N's head poked out from the other side, some of the sheets hanging off one of his horns, his gaze meeting mine a moment later.
