Subtle sunlight cascaded through the curtains as my eyes opened. The light morning fog in my mind let me rise out of bed with only a yawn to care about. Though, as the fog began to clear and the tiredness rubbed out of my eyes, the events of last night flooded back to the forethought. The feeling all too apparent to me know racked my gut as I looked down into my lap.

F/N: Well, good morning to you too, bastard.

I muttered while a muffled growl echoed in the back of my mind. Narrowing my gaze, I clutched my right hand into a fist, purple energy slowly beginning to creep along my skin as the growl shifted into a louder voice of the inner demon.

Nergigante: You can't keep me contained with this magic; you will NEED me. We could have gained so much power, yet you let it slip away.

F/N: I didn't let anything slip away because I didn't need power, and I certainly don't need you.

I spat back within my mind as the beast growled, the mental image of the creature staring down at me with blood-red eyes hued in purple, its teeth gnashing together as I pressed my fist against my bare chest. Biting the inside of my lip as the magical seal formed, the metal image began to flicker, and the beast let out one last snarl before it vanished.

Nergigante: You will kill us.

It said before the hunger in my stomach faded away as the seal took its full shape, before it too faded away like the rest. With that 'thing' gone, for now, I shifted onto my side and closed my eyes, a good hour two or more would help with-

Kobayashi: F/N?

Aaaand any thoughts of sleeping off my actions were shattered as my sister opened the door, peeking inside my room. I shifted around to face her with a groan, blowing some hair from my face as I met her eyes.

F/N: Morning, you need anything?

I asked while letting out another yawn. My sister just nodded as she opened the door more and stepped inside. Making her way over and settling on the edge of my bed, her smile faltering a little as she took in my miserable state of being.

Kobayashi: Well, Tohru and I were going to take Kanna shopping for school supplies. I wanted to see if you'd join us?

F/N: Oh, so that's why she's been watching those school kids. You should go yourselves; I'm not feeling up to moving today.

I said, looking away from her as I covered my head with a pillow. The weight on the bed shifted closer with an audible sigh, the pillow being pulled from my arms seconds later. Without any other choices, I looked up at my sister's frowning face as she spoke.

Kobayashi: Come on, I know I can't relate to what you're going through, but I know laying around and wallowing in your feelings won't solve anything. Getting some fresh air will get your mind off things, ok?

She said, forcing a smile as I let out a defeated whine and sat up, lightly glaring at her.

F/N: I hate it when you're right. Fine, I'll come with.

Kobayashi: Well, I'm your sister, I'm always right, plus...

She trailed off before pulling me into a comforting hug, her head resting on my shoulder as I reciprocated her actions. The two of us hugged for a little while before she pulled back with a genuine smile.

Kobayashi: I'm always here if you need me, ok?

She said as I nodded, flashing her a soft smile as I shifted to sit on the edge of the bed.

F/N: I know; love you, sis.

Kobayashi: Love you too, bro.

My sister said before getting up and walking towards the door, though glanced back as I was still sitting in bed.
