She hid the box of bracelet under the pillow, closet, empty boxes in her room but there was no place she felt comfortable with to hold it. She took it out of the box looking at it, it was too pretty to wear, the smile on her face broadens. She just couldn't stop thinking of how fun and exhilarating it was hanging out with Rob, Dio and Adora. She didn't have any friends but in a short while, she's gained three friends out of nowhere, she loved the feeling and wanted to experience more. She had forgotten about her loneliness momentarily. How she wishes that everyday would be like that, they was so much more that she wanted to do, see and learn with her friends. Hot tears sprang to her eyes, she didn't want this to end she wanted to keep this feeling and memory no matter what. She hears the door open and almost instinctively, she grabs a book pushes the bracelet in one of the pages. She throws the box under her bed and wipes the silly excitement from her face acting like she was reading. She hears her mothers footsteps as she climbs up to her room her heart racing. She stands up, and walks towards her door, her hands shaking as she touches the door knob. She stands still, trying to take a deep breath and steady her heart beat before turning the knob and opening the door. She goes across to her mother's room and knocks no answer
"Mom, welcome back home"
Still nothing. She xould hear her mother's feet shuffling as we walks about the room
"Mom, is everything alright?"
Still nothing, her heart is still racing whenever her mother acts like this, something must be wrong, she wondered what would be upsetting her. She puts a hand flat on the door contemplating to open or keep knocking. She was scared and worried at thesame time
"Mom, can you hear me? Is everything okay?"
Golden silence
"Mom is the..."
The door opens, her mother is standing at the door a very 'pissed off ' expression on her face.
"Mom?" Mimi called
She goes closer and puts her hands on the door frame. Her mother raises her hand and she felt a hot seering slap on her cheeks which took her by suprise she held her cheeks and looked at her mother wide eyed
"Mom! " she said
Her mother walks out the door, tears in her eyes, poking mimi's chest
" why are you tormenting me? Why? I hate you, you should have NEVER BEEN BORN! YOU HAVE RUINED MY LIFE!! I WISH YOU NEVER EXISTED. YOU ARE MY GREATEST SIN!"
Her mother push her to the floor, the tears won't stop flowing
"I wish you would die, just DIE and let me live my life in peace please"
She screams and the tears were replaced with a sudden burst of anger. Before she could think twice, her mother grabs her hair and hand, pulling her down the stairs even as she struggles to free herself
"Mom please stop! It hurts"
"You are my greatest mistake, you shouldn't have lived!! You should atone for all the pains you have caused me!"
"Mom! "
Mimi yells
"Please it hurts, please!"
She gets pulled into the repentance room. Mimi bangs on the door
"Mom please let me out! Please! PLEASE let me out! I don't want to be in here. Let me out! Let me out! Let me out!"
Her mother kicks the door
"You devil's spawn! Stay in there and reflect on yourself. Your existence has brought me soo much burdens and pains! I have lost a lot and it's all because of you! I lost your dad!
Mimi stops banging on the door. So that is it, she is in such a mood because of her father. She drops to the ground in the tiny room tears flowing freely down her face. She looked at the cross of jesus on the alter
"Why did you keep me exist here?"
She asks it
"You shouldn't have let me be here"
Her voice breaks as she continues sobbing curling herself in a fetus position crying her heart and eyes out ' what exactly did she do wrong? The tears wouldn't stop flowing as she cried herself to sleep. She spent the next three days locked in the repentance room with food and water dropped through the door. Her legs were cramped staying in that tiny room and her eyes where puffy and swollen from the tears. When her mother leaves her for work, the house was deadly quiet and she wished desperately everyday for her friends to rescue her. She was beginning to feel that she would never see the light of day when she hears a knock on the door. Another one, then another followed by a rattle and she hears the door open.
"Mimi?"
She recognises Adora's voice she bangs on the door lying on the ground
"Adora right here please save me! Am right here"
She keeps banging until she sees th door knob turn severally before it rattles and the door opens. There is a horrified expression on Adora's face when she sees her state. Mimi crawls out of the room on her belly as quickly as she could whimpering. Adora immediately goes over and gives her a consoling warm hug
"Please don't leave me" mimi cries while holding on tight to adora's shirt
"I promise I will never leave your side, I'll always be here for you"
Her voice breaks as tears rolled down her face. Mimi's cloths were dirty and they smelled of sweat and tears there were red blotches on her hand, cuts and scratches on her legs, back, and hands some from banging on the door and the others from Being dragged down the stairs. Some of her hair was pulled out, leaving the roots with red marks, blood and open sore. Adora cries out unable to hold her grieve
"Who did this to you?"
Adora asks as Dio immediately rushes in from hearing his sisters painful cry
"My mother...."
