[26] Penalty

The morning started with a loud thud at the front door, one easily recognisable- "george shit, put contacts in just cover yourself up" clay rolled out of bed and grabbed a shirt whilst george rushed to the bathroom.

He soon came out and clay was getting into jeans and doing them up. They left the room to see sapnap, bad and three other people stood in the living room.

The three arranged all had badges, S.U printed on them with their names

Punz

"we're here from the supernatural union, we had reports of an unreported glistener, is this true?" Antfrost stepped forward observing, he was a pure bred
"yes, sir" clay lied
"well why didn't anybody report it? what's the circumstances" ant practically snarled
"my friend fell from a tree- he didn't know of our supernatural status, i couldn't just let him die" clay continued, he looked to nick who was shaking his head

"a tree? why would a mortal idiot be climbing a tree at a height dangerous enough to kill him" punz stepped forward, punz wasn't a vampire, he was a wolf like alex was.
"i didn't realise how high i went" george stepped him, all eyes in the room quickly diverted to him.
"so you're the idiot" punz laughed looking at the smaller man

philza hadnt said a word, the glances he gave seemed suspicious, yet his mouth remained closed

"you guys know the punishment for glisteners"
"yeah a slap on the wrist don't do it again-" nick was interrupted
"that's for the first time, nick this is your second is it not?" ant turned to nick and his face dropped
"well i mean-"
"no excuses nick, you've fucked up" punz chimed in
"you're not saying? you've got to be kidding right-"
"nick you know the law"

george turned to clay, "what's going on?" he whispered yet clay was too focused to respond

Punz and ant grabbed nick by the collar of his shirt and dragged him outside, they threw him into the gravel. Nick desperately looked for bad, clay and george among the small crowd
"no come on you don't have to do this-" nick pleaded as punz took a garlic coated stake from a bag
clay bit the inside of his cheek he knew speaking up would also get him killed

punz knelt down by nick, various sobs were escaping him

"DAD" nick cried out reaching for bad, the stake was brought down to his heart causing a loud yell to escape him

Punz stood and wiped his hands and turned to bad

"you're suspended as a spirit guide until further notice, you should really report things like this mr halo and maybe we wouldn't of had blood on our hands" punz shrugged licking his bloody fingers as nicks muffled, exasperated cries continued

philza exchanged a glance with george and the group left.

bad fell to his knees, he lifted nick and held him close to his chest.

"nicky..." he mumbled
his voice began to crack
"i remember when you were just a toddler, and i'd always sing you your song, you remember right" bad wiped the blood coming from nicks mouth with his thumb looking to his teary eyes as the dying boy weakly nodded.

"sappynap, sappynap, sappynappy nappynap" bad tried to sing through sobs.
nick opened his mouth to say something and reached out for bad, yet his head dropped. he was gone

clay fell to his knees and george held him tightly from behind as the three cried
