23 years later

Dream walked around the zoo, his eyes glancing up at the enclosures every so often. He was here for one thing, the parrots.

He felt his phone ping, he took it out smiling seeing a text from sapnap

[Sapnap: hey dre! me and karl are going to the movies so we left the key under that ugly ass gnome we all hate love u brother, have fun :p]

He let out a chuckle, it was true. The gnome was gross, sapnap had bought it a few years back after an ikea trip. He said it was the creepiest thing he'd ever seen so he just had to buy it to show them all.

Dream slid his phone back into his pocket as he reached the parrot enclosure, he watched the birds. There were all different types, his favourites were the parakeets. The bright greens made his heart feel warm.

He fixated on them as time passed watching their movements, listening to their calls, how they flew from object to object.

"you sure do seem to like parrots" a voice giggled, dream turned his face lighting up.

"they're pretty animals" dream smiled feeling his heart flutter

"i like your necklace, i don't like ducks they're weird as hell, but the necklace is nice" the man smiled

Dreams heart skipped a beat, he didn't expect it this soon

The man had fluffy brown hair that slightly curled, his left eye was blue and his right was brown. A scar across the left side of his lower jaw. His right ear was pierced with a pretty diamond, he wore a pink shirt with a strawberry milk carton on it overlayed with foreign writing.

"Thank you, a person who once meant a lot to me got it for me" Dream couldn't stop smiling

The man chuckled "I must say, you look incredibly familiar" his english accent was almost more distinct with every word

"i get that a lot" dream chuckled rubbing the back of his neck trying to not blush

"i'm george" the man stuck out a hand, dream froze caught off guard, normally they never had the same name, maybe it was a coincidence. Dream shook his hand, now noticing georges nails were painted a soft blue.

"Clay" dream smiled releasing the hand.

"So, what's your favourite one" George gestured to the birds.
Dream let out a giggle, his eyes instantly noticing a red parrot sat beside a blue parrot.

He looked at the name board followed by information, he found the picture of the two birds that caught his eye

Muffin and potato
Muffin is a red macaw
Potato is a blue macaw

"i'd have to say muffin and potato" he pointed at the birds, george giggled "who on earth calls a parrot muffin- or even potato that's so peculiar!" George laughed
"I think it's cute" dream watched as the birds seemed to stare straight back at him

The two spoke for a bit longer, eventually deciding to walk around the enclosure together the day was coming to an end though.

"Well what brings you to florida, you clearly aren't from here" Dream looked down at the shorter boy who was sitting on a bench as dream stood.

"I was adopted by americans, they decided to move me over here. I was adopted when i was 12 so i suppose my accent stuck" george smiled looking up at the man
"oh! that makes more sense, i'm surprised i havent seen you before"
"i don't go out much, i prefer just sleeping in"
"i don't blame you, i could sleep in every day if it was up to me"
"i should probably get going, may i have your number though? i've enjoyed speaking to you clay"
"of course" clay took georges phone and typed his number in, smiling as he handed it back

"it's been lovely talking to you! bye" george waved as he stood and walked to the gates of the zoo to leave

Dream took his phone out and began to type to sapnap.

[Dream: I found him :) ]

A/N

This is the official ending to decades between us! i hope you all enjoyed reading as much as i enjoyed writing

Possible sequel? Showing Dream getting george to fall for him all over again, different circumstances, having to tell him all over again.
