╔═.✾. ═════════════ As I read the letter I felt my heart jump in surprise and my face flush. Never in 100 years did I think that someone would write such a loving letter to me, let alone it being my long time crush Xingqiu. I wanted to outdo him with my response. But how should I do that? Hmm...perhaps I should get some tips from Xiangling. With destination in mind, I started my small trek to the Wanmin restaurant.
"Xiangling, I need some help," I said as she came out to greet me with a hug.
"What do you need help with?" She asked with the slight tilt of her head. "Perhaps something about an amazing new dish?"
"You know I'm trash at cooking," I deadpanned, but a small smile worked its way onto my face. "No, I need help with a response to...a...love note I received." I couldn't help but stumble at the last part, partially flustered at my current situation.
"I told you guys would fall for you (y/n)!" Xiangling cheered. "It was only a matter of time, I mean you're so cute and sweet! Who wouldn't want to just eat you all up!" Those words were very sweet but it also concerned me a bit since...well this is Xiangling we're talking about.
"Well I want to accept his confession but I want to make it even more romantic than his," I explained. "And I can't really think of anything at the moment."
"Oooooo~" My best friend said, letting out a giggle. "Who is it?"
"Xingqiu," I whispered, looking down at my feet.
"Finally!" She said in an exasperated "Now you both can stop bothering me with your mutual love for each other." My eyes widened and I couldn't help but blush and cover my face.
"Sh-shut up!" I said waving one hand out in front of me.
"Let's see," She hummed, ignoring me. "You can easily outdo a romantic letter. How about a picnic?"
"Author-chan already did a picnic story."
"Oh," Xiangling said, her eyebrows furrowed in concentration. "OH! There's a festival coming up soon, how about accepting his confession then?"
"Good idea!" I exclaimed, my eyes brightening up greatly. "When is that festival again?"
"I think it's tomorrow actually," She replied with a closed eyed smile.
"TOMORROW?!"

I finished putting on my hanfu , it was a pastel pink that faded into white/pink sakura flowers. I let out a sigh as I heard a knock at the door. Looking into the mirror to make sure my hair and makeup looked at least presentable I hurried towards the door. Opening the door, it revealed a smiling Xingqiu on the other side.
