"Xingqiu, you better not be messing with that poor guy again," I scolded, putting my hands on my hips. He only sent me an 'innocent' grin shook his head.

"Of course not," Xingqiu replied. "My friend Chongyun and I are having fun, aren't we?" As he asked his question, his golden eyes falling onto his icy blue haired companion. I also looked at the young exorcist and raised an eyebrow.

With a sigh Chongyun responded, "We've planned to explore a haunted house."

My eyebrows furrowed in annoyance. This was clearly a ploy my brother has done to once again antagonize his poor, poor friend. When he would pull these stunts he typically would disapear from the house and I was left to do his duties. So with a decision in mind I spoke out.

"Then I'll come along," I said, this way our older brother can do the work instead of me. "I'm keeping an eye on you Xi."

"The more the merrier," Xingqiu hummed out with a smirk. With that I had Chongyun explain to me the situation of the house while the three of us walked to the location. His cold demeanor wasn't as intimidating once you got to know him, which I was luckily able to due to being his best friends sister. In fact, I found the blue eyed boy endearing. If anything I would even say I had a small crush on him, not that I'd ever tell anyone.

Once we stood in front of the house it looked pretty normal. It only seemed abandoned for a few months. Not at all what you'd expect to be a haunted house, though you can never know. Chongyun and I step up to the front door, but I noticed that Xingqiu stood behind us, watching us...it was honestly creepy.

"Are you not going to join us brother dear?" I asked, trying to intimidate him into joining. Yet I knew it wasn't going to work well because he's said I looked more like a cute kitten.

"I'll keep an eye out front in case I notice the spirit try to run away," Xingqiu said, but I knew that wasn't true. Is that even how spirits work?

I was about to call him out on his bullshit but Chongyun seemed to buy into what he said and I couldn't break the boys heart. So I nodded in defeat. I followed Chongyun into the house as Xingqiu waved at us, closing the door behind us. The house was eerily dark and I couldn't help but wrap my arms around my waist. I wasn't scared of the dark...okay maybe I had a small phobia of the dark but I always managed to maintain my composure. Yet the thought of this house being haunted made my heart beat faster. So instead I focused on the back of Chongyun's head.

His hair looked soft to the touch, almost like cotton candy (even though cotton candy is sticky and not soft). His skin was pale and it almost reminded me of porcelain. His clothes matched his personality honestly and it also helped him keep cool. I was caught off guard when his ice blue eyes met my (e/c) ones.

"Is there something wrong?" He asked softly, his voice being something I could listen to forever. Okay maybe I have more of a crush on him than I thought.

"N-no," I slightly stuttered, my thoughts throwing me off track. "I'm just waiting for Xingqiu to come and scare us or something."

"I want to believe in him," Chonyun replied. "Sure he likes to victimize me but he has his good times as well." I almost laughed at the victimized part but I held my tongue. It honestly warmed my heart the way he saw Xingqiu and a small smile formed on my lips.

"That's sweet of you Chongyun," I said. "You have more faith in him than his own family, I'm joking Xingqiu! If you're listening I love you~"

Chongyun shook his head but I noticed a small smile forming on his face (which made me grin bigger), "We should be quiet now, let's try and find this spirit together." I nodded in return and we continued in a comforting silence.

We were almost done, nothing out of the ordinary (most likely due to his positive energy). Yet, something hit the window of the room we were currently in. I felt my heart start to race and my breathing accelerate. My fight or flight response was kicking in. Chongyun quickly ran towards the window as the only thoughts running through my head were 'oh archons oh fuck, I'm gonna die. A demon is going to snatch me up and rip me to shreds'.

Taking out a stick of herbs Chongyun set it on fire and smoked the room. I remember him telling me about this method. It's suppose to make the evil spirits calm down or drive them out or something like that. Chongyun seemed to notice my state of fright and made his way over to me.

"Don't worry (y/n)," He said. "I'll make sure you're safe." Behind the concern in his eyes for me, I noticed how excited he seemed. I guess this is his first time possibly encountering a spirit. Yet I couldn't help but cling onto his free arm as another loud sound was heard. As I was hugging his arm, I kept my face hidden, so I missed out on the pink that littered the blue boy's cheeks.

Chongyun did a few more rituals, with me clinging onto his side the entire time, before he claimed it that there was no entity left. I dragged his ass for the front door only for it to not open. Which I knew was definitely Xingqiu's doing.

"XINGQIU OPEN THIS DOOR RIGHT NOW!" I cried out pounding on the door. Chongyun gently pulled me back and kept an arm around my waist as he opened the door...I was pulling the wrong way. We won't talk about that.

I toppled out with Chongyun and into the safe sweet moonlight. I looked up to see Xingqiu laughing behind his hand and I as ready to snap his neck.

"That was you wasn't it?!" I shouted as I pointed at him. "You were knocking on the windows and stuff weren't you?"

When I said this he gave me a confused look and I felt my heart drop. Was there finally a spirit able to withstand Chongyun's positive energy? And did we just encounter it?

"I have no clue what you're talking about," Xingqiu said shaking his head. "But it seems something must've happened to you both, I don't think you'd have a mans arm wrapped around you otherwise."

I felt my body flush as I realized that Chongyun indeed still had his arm wrapped around my waist. Also I don't know if Xingqiu was implying that he believed me when I said we encountered a ghost, or if he was implying that Chongyun and I got together. The said male also seemed flustered as he quickly released me from his grip. I couldn't help but miss his embrace yet I didn't want to embarrass either of us any further.

Xingqiu rolled his eyes as he turned around, "You both should just kiss already."

"YOU LITTLE-" I shouted getting cut off as I heard what Chongyun said.

"Maybe we should."
