Being older than I looked was way more annoying than people would think. Normally you hear how you want to age gracefully yada yada, well in my situation I'm older than any other human. Yet I still have the looks of a 20 year old. So you see, people who are 'older' than me try to coddle me and talk about how they remember being my age. Bitch I'm at least 2,000 years old, you are nowhere near my age.

Now there are a few exceptions to the people who are older than me, because surprisingly there are a few. Well there are the 7 archons of Teyvat that are older than me. And than that mysterious traveler that goes around with that fairy thing. Otherwise I'm pretty high on the age rank. Being as old as I am I have befriended the adepti and even a few of the archons. I was also able to befriend the traveler quickly due to us being able to relate to many things.

Even due to my face looking like a 20 year old I've been confused for a child more times than I can count. Just because I'm 4'10 does not mean I am a child! Yet it did cause trouble in my daily life. That being why do people put the important things on the top shelf?!

I'm currently in Wangshu Inn to visit my friend Xiao. Yet he was in his little emo phase at the moment so I decided I should read something until he gets over himself and come hang out with me. But the book I want to read is on the top shelf and me being my short self could not reach it without a step ladder or something. I swear to the archons that this is discrimination against short people. Letting out a breath to calm myself I carefully crawl on top if the little table below the shelf. Shakily I go to stand but it slightly wobbles and I desperately try to grab onto the wall. 2,000 years of living and I go out by falling off a damn table. Life really is cruel.

My feet slip off the table and I feel myself fall backwards. I close my eyes and accept the inevitable. Yet I didn't feel the harsh floor his my back. Slowly I opened my eyes, only to reveal Xiao holding me close to his chest.

"What are you doing?" He asked raising an eyebrow.

"I was trying to get a book to read," I said with a slight huff.

"You could've asked for help," He replied, a small smirk trying to tug at his lips.

"Never," I said stubbornly.

"You never change," I heard him mutter under his breath with a slight chuckle and I felt my face heat up. I then noticed that he still hasn't let me go and I felt my entire body heat up.

"X-xiao," I couldn't help but stutter out. My heart was beating at an incredible speed as I stared up into his liquid gold catlike eyes. I couldn't help but notice his features a little more, how the red eyeshadow around his eyes made his eyes pop even more, how his usually stern features held a soft look. I was brought out of my little reverie when he set me down onto the ground. He turned his head away and one of his hands went up to cover his face.

"Let's go to the roof," He mumbled out, but I still managed to hear him.

"Alright," I agreed, still feeling somewhat bashful.

I followed him out and we climbed onto the roof of Wangshu Inn. We would come up here often but I still thought it was beautiful every time we came up here. The fresh night air, the stars that would seemingly twinkle in the sky, the lights of Liyue that would show a strong and growing city. It all came together to make a magnificent picture. Xiao and I sat next to each other as we stared at the world around us. I felt truly at peace during times like these. Just the two of us and the world revolving around us.

"I remember when this used to be just wilderness," I said with a small laugh. "And then just the small village of Liyue, but now...it's really something else."

"Hmm," Xiao hummed in agreement. "Time seems to pass so quickly yet slowly, it's really something."

"Yeah it is," I agreed.

I turned to take a glance at Xiao but he was already looking at me. My eyes widened in surprise as he looked away somewhat bashfully. There was a certain tension in the air, no denying that, but I wasn't sure what to do about it. Yet I was feeling confidant, whether it be because of the full moon, or because I knew we both had feelings for each other (but were too scared to act out on it), I decided to finally do something about it.

I made Xiao turn to look at me, my small hand rested on his warm cheek. He looked surprised that I did something but what I was about to do next will definitely shock him. I pulled his head down so I could reach his lips and I gave him a long, long, awaited kiss. I felt him tense at this and he didn't kiss back, so I slowly parted. I let out a small huff and looked away. I couldn't believe I just did that, but at the same time I didn't expect anything different.

A silence enveloped us and I awkwardly fidgeted. I didn't plan on what to do after, I actually didn't plan any of it.

"C-could...could you do that again?" Xiao mumbled out.

I turned to look at him and I felt everything go haywire. His face held a bright pink blush and he looked like he was in a daze. I felt myself lean back into him subconsciously as he did the same. Our lips met once more and I felt Xiao kiss me back lightly, hesitantly, like he was testing out something new and didn't want to make a fool of himself. I grinned into the kiss and we pulled away once more. He stayed silent but I saw that his face held a small smile.

"Now you'll never get rid of me," I said with a chuckle, I couldn't help but laugh, I felt so happy at the moment.

"I wasn't planning on it."
