Hello hi!

Please read this entire notice :) I'll try to be straight to the point.

- First of all: There will be quite a few time skips. This book will mainly focus on how Hongjoong and Seonghwa develop over the years, so do expect plenty of time skips (mostly at the later stages of the story).

- This story is mainly focused on Seonghwa and Hongjoong, with very little mention of Jihyun and the rest of the Ateez members.

- This book is a prequel to "Viridescence" but you can still read this book without reading "Viridescence". Some parts would make more sense if you had read it, but everything is explained so even a new reader could understand the plot. I'd still suggest reading "Viridescence" first though (Especially since there will be major spoilers)!

- Just for some background info, I have put two prologues. These prologues can be skipped if you have read "Viridescence", as it is just chapters 33 and 34 from "Viridescence" (Hongjoong's childhood story).

- The first chapter is mostly copied from "Viridescence", but some of it is new so I suggest reading the entire chapter whether you're a new reader or not, or at least to read after a few paragraphs in (if you've read "Viridescence").

- This may seem obvious, but once again, there's major spoilers for "Viridescence" throughout the book so don't read if you would like to avoid spoilers!

- Some trigger and content warnings to keep in mind before starting this book: violence, torture, gore, mental health issues, toxic relationship, Stockholm syndrome, blood, death, guns, knives. If you can't handle dark themes in general then I recommend clicking off this book.

- I have written about Hongjoong and Seonghwa's relationship in this book from mostly Seonghwa's perspective, so at times it may seem positive but I'd like everyone to know that I do not support any of the behaviour I've written about and am aware that their friendship is severely harmful, no matter how strong it is!!

- Lastly: I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it :)

I said I'd keep this brief, didn't I...
