Make A Move

I didn't even realize I fell asleep until the morning. I awoke with dried drool on the corner of my mouth and my blankets sprawled out. I licked my lips and sat up, my eyes droopy and tired. I slowly dragged myself out of bed and went for my phone. I had forgotten to charge it so it was on 19 percent.

I look through my notifications and saw a message from Yachi, Daichi, and my mom. I first checked the one from my mom which just said she'd be home late and my dad would being staying over night in a hotel for work.

I replied with 'ok' and went on to check the notification from Yachi. She said she would like to meet up for breakfast at 10. I checked my alarm clock and it read 9:15, which gave me time. I let her know that the time set up was fine and finally I got to Daichi's message.

He had sent me a very strange message and I don't know what to make of it.

Captain Thunder Thighs 9:17 am
I'm sorry to hear what happened
And I'm sorry I can't be there for you
If you need someone talk to someone else from the team
They'll help you

I left him on read, not really wanting to deal with his strange behavior so early in the morning. I decided to get ready and then I'd text Yachi to ask where she wanted to meet up.

I got dressed in some comfortable clothes and left my hair in a natural way, basically letting it do what it wants since I didn't really care. It looked nice to me.

I brushed my teeth and splashed some water on my face to wake myself up. As water dripped from my face, I stared at myself in the mirror.

Looking at me from an outside view you wouldn't even know what was going on in my life. And even though one (I guess two if you count the deaths of those kids I went to school with) bad thing has happened to me I couldn't help but think that it was the start of madness. The start of something chaotic about to happen. Call it a gut feeling. However, I couldn't tell you what was going to happen or who would be involved.

I went back into my room and plugged in my phone since I had some time to spare. I was basically ready to head out now but it's far too early. I sat on my bed and waited as time passed so slowly. I texted Yachi to know where she's like to meet up and she offered the park since it was close to the place she wanted to eat for breakfast. I agreed and set my phone back down.

Time passed and I figured it was time to go. I grabbed my phone and headed out the door. As I walked I couldn't help but look over my shoulder every few seconds to make sure I wasn't being followed again. The thought scares me to no end. Nearing the park I begin to jog and slow down a bit once I get inside. I walk along the path and take a seat on a bench and wait for Yachi. Which didn't take long cause she entered the park shortly after me.

She snuggled into the scarf she was wearing and stuck her hands in her coat pockets to preserve some wamrth. I see her glance around before she spots me. "Y/n!" She yells and walks over to me.

"Hi Yachi," I say. "Cold?" She lets out a small giggle.

"A little. Um, so I hope you don't mind but I invited Kyoko to join us. She a little way back since I didn't wanna keep you waiting." I smile and look up in time to see Kyoko enter the park. She nods at me with a small smile.

"Hello, Y/n, how are you?"

"Good, but I'll be even better once I get some food!" We start on our way to some place. To be honest none of us had a place in mind. Taking some time, we began to talk. And the topic of the whole... almost being assaulted came up. As you can imagine Yachi was scared for me and was very happy I was ok but still shivered in fear. Kyoko was also glad I was ok but suggested I be more careful. Thank you, Kyoko, I did not think of that.

We made it to a small little shop and ordered food. After getting out things we went out slide to eat. Yes, it was a little chilly but it was still nice out.

I sat beside Kyoko and Yachi sat across from us and quietly ate her food. As I ate, at the corner of my eye I could see Kyoko with her eyebrows strunched up.

"Something wrong?" I ask. She shakes her head.

"No, but you have food on your nose." And before I can brush it away she takes a napkin and gently wipes away the food. She sets the napkin back down and continues to eat.

"Thanks," she hums. Yachi sat across from us nibbling on her bottom lip before she pushes away her plate. I copied her unable to eat anything more. "Ok, I'm full."

"Already?" I nod.

"I guess I wasn't as hungry as I thought." We gather our things and leave. Walking side by side, with me in the middle, we walked back to the park to walk some laps before we all head back. As I speak I feel a hand touch mine before fingers wrap around my hand. I look over to see Yachi with a red face, tears forming in her eyes. I chuckle and think nothing of her small touch of affection. I squeeze her hand and gently swing our arms. I grab Kyoto's hand and do the same. Her eyes widen and her body stiffens up, making me think I should've at least asked first. She blinks a couple of times before her cheeks turn a light shade of pink and she squeezes my hand back.

I laugh and gently bump into her. "Didn't mean to spook ya. I'll ask next time."

"No, no, it's fine. My hands were getting cold anyways. Yours are really warm. It feels... nice."

Yachi hums in agreement which makes me smile. I let go of her hand and wrap my arm around her a pull her into a small side hug.

"Thanks for the idea of going out to breakfast. It really helped. Thanks you."
