The Mission

I stood in the hokage office with my team waiting for him to assign us a new mission. I couldn't help but smile as Naruto voiced his opinion for us to get a regular mission. Throughout the last few weeks I had noticed that I was starting to establish a bond with Naruto and really grow fond of him. We would hang out after missions and go for ramen and just talk until I had to go home. I looked up as I heard the hokage start to describe the C rank mission he was assigning us to the land of waves. Kakashi-sensei then told us to go home and get ready to leave. I decided to place everything I was packing into a ninja scroll. I packed extra clothes, food, medical supplies, and some of the weapons I recently bought into the scroll. For this mission, I decided to wear my usual outfit with my bow and arrow that I had recently been training with and twin blades. Normally, I wouldn't carry my blades with me but I had a strong feeling that I might have to use them. After preparing my things I met with everyone at the gate and we left out once Naruto finally arrived.

As we left the village I couldn't help but to notice a presence following us which put me on guard. I looked at Kakashi-sensei who shook his head so I decided to ignore it realizing that he already knew. After about 20 minutes of walking we came across a puddle in the middle of our path. Unlike the others, I was able to sense the presence that was in the water so I purposely stepped on it adding a burst of chakra to my feet as I did so. Once we passed by 2 guys jumped out of the water with chains 'killing sensei.' Instead of attacking with the others I decided to stand closer to the bridge builder ready to attack if necessary. I observed and noticed that the ninja didn't really aim for us but for the bridge builder. I noticed one ninja finally ran straight for the bridge builder and as I was about to defend him Kakashi-sensei finally intervened. He then thanked Sasuke and Sakura and apologized to Naruto. He then walked over to me. "Thank you, it was really important that we gathered intel from those two." The team looked at us surprised and Sakura spoke up. "Why are you thanking her sensei, she didn't even do anything?" Sensei looked at her. "Actually, Saki noticed the presence of the sound brothers when we first left the village which shows that she has a lot of skill. When she noticed she looked at me to make sure I was aware of everything going on. After she knew that I knew she decided to wait and see what I would do and I'm not sure if any of you noticed but she had her guard up the entire time the fight was happening observing everything and protecting the bridge builder." The team looked at me shocked but I shrugged. "It's no problem sensei." He nodded and we continued on our mission.

~Time Skip~

We were walking through the woods when I felt as if I sensed another presence but it was weaker than the sound brothers presence. I stood on guard as Naruto threw a kunai into the bushes. I observed as Naruto then did it again but I had sensed the presence along with him. When Naruto went to go look there was a white bunny there which I immediately noticed was out of place. Sensei than screamed "duck" so we all did as a very large sword was aimed in our direction and was and in a tree. A man was standing on the end of the sword. I listened as he talked about sensei being the copycat ninja which I was already aware of. I pulled out my blades as we stood in our team formation. "Saki, stand back and do not interfere. You need to help protect the bridge builder." I nodded "Got it, sensei." I focused on everything around me listening to the fight that was happening as well as observing everything around us. I looked in the direction of another couple of presences that I had sensed but I decided not to act on it seeing what they would do. I looked up as Zabuza stood in front of me. "Those are some nice blades little girl. Let's see if you know how to use them." I quickly added chakra into the handles and blocked as Sakura screamed out my name. I quickly realised I was fighting against a water clone so I jumped away from the bridge builder to keep him out of harm. "Sakura, do not leave Tazuna's side." I watched as she nodded in the corner of my eye. "I see you've got real guts kid."

(Sorry Guys, I am not writing a fight scene for this one but basically she struggled really hard but managed to beat the clone herself but was forced to fight another. I will be giving small references to the fight a little later in the story.)

I watched as the ninja I sensed earlier 'killed Zabuza' and finallly appeared in front of a fake anbu black opp. Sensei decided to let him go and as he tried to take a step he passed put. I sighed weakly as I struggled to stand myself. "Tazuna, we need you to show us a way to your house. Sensei has overused his Sharigan so he should be out for a day or 2." Everyone looked at me noticing that I looked like a mess. "Saki, are you alright?" I nodded gritting my teeth. "Let's get sensei and Tazuna home as soon as possible." Sasuke then surprised me by coming over to my side. "You look like your struggling to stand, I'll help you." He then put one arm over his shoulder and the other around my waist helping me to walk and I could feel Sakura glaring at me. When we arrived Tazuna's daughter tended to Kakashi- sensei's wounds and then mine. I couldn't help but pass out due to the pain as she fixed me up.
