Pan's View:

I leave the camp for ten minutes. TEN MINUTES! And Jo is already gone from camp. Felix told me that she left right after I did so she is somewhere on the island. I wandered camp trying to kill time because I need to meet with someone, but Jo needs to be here when it happens. I need to find her.

I left the camp in a hurry to find her. Knowing Jo, she would most likely go to the Indians for help. That's what I did.

I walked slowly towards the camp, hands in my pocket. I admit, I am extremely nervous for what I'm going to do. I have it planned but it's going to be hard to cut ties like I'm going to. Especially with who I am cutting ties with.

I kept walking until I heard singing. I walked towards the noise until I saw Jo walking between the trees, kicking at the ground and humming a tune I didn't recognize. She had her back to me so I followed my urge and I hugged her from behind, resting my chin on her head (Author's Note: I love when people do this to me). Jo stopped what she was doing and sighed.

"Hello Pan," she whispered in a defeated tone.

"Hi," I whispered into her hair.

She walked out of my embrace and turned around. "Did you follow me?"

I shook my head. "I was just looking for you."

"Is it about the whole 'Neverland is going to destroy itself' thing 'cuz I just talked to the Indians about it and ya," she said, looking at her feet. She then told me about her encounter with Tigerlilly, and she hesitated when it came to the fact we have to admit to loving each other to make everything okay, but she said it anyways.

"So.." I said trailing off. "Do you love me?"

She seemed slightly taken aback by the question. I started beating myself up over how blunt I was until she answered.

"I think I could. Maybe once you show that your past is your past and won't hurt anybody anymore, I could love you." She looked at me in the end to see my surprised face. She took a deep breath and asked "Do you love me?"

I give myself a mental pep talk. Can I say this, can I do this?
I can do this. This will change my life. My hand goes to my belt as I say "Yes, I do. And that's why this is so hard," and I flung the purple powder in her face. I caught her right before she hit the ground. She is going to be mad about this when she wakes up, but I think it'll be worth it.

I pick up her small figure bridal-style (Authors Note: Again I love this type of thing) and I carry her back to camp in time for the meeting I planned. I am taken aback by how little she weighs, or at least how easily I can carry her. I walk carefully to make sure nothing hits her through the woods, I mean there's branches everywhere. Can't be too careful.

I make it back to camp and there was no one there, just like I planned. I made sure no one was around during this. All the boys went to the ocean together, just as I told them to.

I laid Jo near the fire so she would be nearby and I could know nothing bad would happen to her.

Just on time, I see something flying down from the tree tops towards me. I stood my ground and prepared myself for the conversation about to happen. My shadow came towards me and landed in front of me.

"Why did you want to meet?" It asked. It's voice practically echoes throughout the woods and is the epitome of intimidating.

It looks over and sees Jo sitting near the fire, still knocked out. "I thought you were getting rid of her. Our deal was she dies and you stay young."

"I know, but change of plans, I want her around."

He let out a bone-chilling laugh. "You foolish boy. You have two choices right now: Forever youth, or her."

"But don't we have to be together for Neverland to stay alive? If I stay forever young, Neverland will still be destroyed, correct?"

It came closer, the cold air radiating from its see-through figure. "If you choose to stay young with me, we can find somewhere else to live. You don't need Neverland. If you choose her, sure Neverland will stay, but you will grow old. Do you really want to grow old? If the answer is yes, maybe I can make Jo disappear."

This time I laughed, making the shadow take a step back in surprise. "Is that a threat? I don't think you understand why I called you. We both know you need me but I don't need you. You can't do anything to me because you are attached to me. Funny thing is, I don't care about immortality anymore," and with this I smiled. "I love Jo, and I want to grow old with her. Me releasing you from your bond is my way to prove to her that I have changed. I would rather keep Neverland, and grow old, then destroy Neverland and not stay with my true love."

The shadow seemed surprised, but quickly regained its composure. "When you first met me in the orphanage, you told me that nothing will ever change your mind of being young. You will get rid of anyone in your way. Now, after all we've been through, you are ready to give up everything you strived for all for a girl?"

I could tell this was it's pathetic last attempt at making me stay with it. It was the reason I chose pain over love a long time ago, but not anymore. I met this shadow after many long, awful years in an orphanage. It gave me a life here but it made me do horrible things. It is the secret to my immortality, but it needed me then, and it still needs me now. I can release it, and I choose to.

"You are released from your bond, shadow. I do not give you the power to find a new host." I learned this incantation back in the beginning of my years in Neverland, but I use it now because it's over. My evil tyranny is over.

The shadow disappeared in a puff of mist, leaving me and the knocked out body of Jo behind me. It was done.

I did what I needed to do.

I stood there in triumph until I heard Joe behind me.

"What the fuck just happened?"

Time to win back my girl.
