Lets pretend I didn't read the original plot

Beast Business 3.12

"I see." I respond faintly.

"That is rather the point." Lee wriggles his brows and I roll my eyes in response. Lee hands over the menu and adds, "order whatever you like." I narrow my eyes as I look at the options. Hmm, beef and apple slaw and lemon chicken and Italian sauce hamburger steak..... so many options.

As I struggle to decide which one to order I remember that as a Beastskin I actually had a higher calorie intake requirement and so I could actually order everything. Deciding on that I quickly reach for the tablet to order. I click away at all the options and then add an apple cinnamon spring roll to the end as well as a strawberry banana spring roll. Oh and a drink. I scroll through the options and just settle on an apple juice. Best for washing down the oil from the meat.

When I sit the tablet down Lee picks it up and checks the selection and then shakes his head. "You need vegetables. Just meat is not a healthy diet." Lee flicks through and adds two more dishes to the order. Presumably, vegetable ones.

"yes, yes." I say and then freeze as I recall that my beast is decidedly vegetarian even the sort with an extremely limited diet. Can I eat the meat?

The human part of you makes you fully omnivores so there is no particular dietary restrictions. However, you will need to eat your beast primary nutrition sometime today.

Uck, meaning that I have to find an eucalyptus tree or will eucalyptus candy suffice?

Must be the plant.

I press my lips together and then sigh.

"Problem?" Lee asks looking away from the manager who comes in the door.

"just thinking that I need to feed my beast today." I respond and Lee pauses before slowly nodding. He flicks a glance at Kain who nods slightly and pulls out his phone.

At the same time the manager stumbles stabilising and bowing to Lee. I look down and assure myself that the floor is in fact flat before I shake my head. It was not a good view of a manager to be clumsy enough to stumble over his own feet.

"Young master. Business has been steady with no incidents this past month." The manager says as he stands at attention beside the table.

"Hmm, no movements from Rustic?" Lee enquires and the manager shakes his head before the devolve into more involved conversation.

I tune them out as the food is brought in. How fast, it's nice knowing the owner or the owner's son. I rub my hands together before pulling the plates closer to my side after they are set in the centre of the table. Lee was too distracted to be eating yet. More for me.

I eat one piece of each meat. Delicious.

"Tap, tap." Lee taps his index finger on the table and when I look up at him gestures to the vegetable dishes.

I roll my eyes before obediently taking a small serving of each of the vegetable dishes and place them on my plate. Putting the serving tongs down I take a mouthful and then pause as a whiff of pine and cat hits me.

Turning away from the food and sneeze. As I blink my eyes clear I do a slow pan of the room. Yep, definitely nothing that should smell like pine and no cats. Hmm.

As I continue to eat I look over the crystal and glass areas before I settle on the mirror areas as the most likely suspects. There was a venetian effect one section that one allowing a clear view of the underside of the table from the opposite side to stop people from using the table as cover to misbehave it was also the only potential source for air to pass through into the room.

I night have thought it was just a passer-by in the corridor except the mirror wall was on the opposite side to the door to the corridor and so was on the exterior wall of the building.

I took a few minutes to finish eating before sitting back and flicking my eyes to Adrianna. Lee hadn't touched any of the food yet and after a moment I pull the food further over to prevent Lee from reaching it and when Lee turns to look at me, I smile and say, "Foods cold and doesn't taste as good, better get a new lot so its properly hot."

I was particularly trying to put connotations on the comment but apparently others were reading into it since at the end of my sentence the peaceful room became not so peaceful.
