"My dear, you wouldn't be thinking of stepping out, now would you?" a gentle voice follows the hand and I shift my eyes to look at the man that appears behind her. He is a mirror image of Levi and thus not at all unnoticeable, so it is a serious question as to how he appeared there when I hadn't noticed him approach with the others.

"Of course, not sweetheart, I was just looking. I'm a little bit jealous after all."

"You know Bri with how much Dev fawns on you, you really don't need to go to the trouble of provoking him." Levi says as he subtly shifts me back away from them.

"Alright enough standing in the doorway inside you go." My father herds them further into the room as Levi and I move back towards the table. Derek then closes the door from the outside while seeming to settle in front of it.

I presume he is going to look intimidating to discourage eavesdroppers. Though I really hope he keeps an eye out for anyone trying to approach because we still need to find that traitor.

"Geeze your so stuffy. It's a wonder you're so successful." After the door closes Bri stalks across the room and collapses onto one of the stools without any sign of feminine elegance, with a rough motion the mask, hat and apparently wig are removed. "No wonder Mother left you." Bri stretches and then leans back against Dev as he moves to stand behind him.

Excuse me? I have a twin in this who's a pirate and a mother who is still alive. How the hell is that completely absent from the plot? Solely on the principle that the pirates don't play a pivotal role or what?

The plot is designed to support proper character growth. Calculations show that in fighting against the circumstances will promote the best character change.

'Best character change' in what way a direct fight against that sort of plot is to promote a sort of vicious antagonistic person, same as the weird insistence to enter into the rigged succession fight last time. Are the settings on this thing bugged or something?

The character learning settings are located under the advanced settings in the menu bar, please unluck the parental permissions to view.

Tch, parental permissions again.

"Rayne?"  I blink a couple of times and then flinch away from Levi's face mere inches from my own. Which promptly causes me to trip over my own feet. Thankfully or unfortunately depending on the view of pain or embarrassment Levi's reflexes kept me from falling on my ass on the instead leaving me leaning against his chest.

Not to self no more arguing with the system while around other people.

Host please make persistent effort.

"Ahaha, sorry zoned out for a minute there. I was trying to think if father ever mentioned mother or brother." Pretty damn certain there wasn't but better to check. As I speak, I straighten away from Levi and then move to the table and sit down. At least then I shouldn't fall on the man for the third time today.

"I'm sorry Rayne after your mother and I separated I never wanted to talk about her. We have such vastly different views that it didn't seem fair to split you between them." My father says as he settles at one of the free stools at the table.

"Don't stress old man, mother is not exactly the most talkative on the subject either." Bri says patting father on the back.

"I Don't believe we have made formal introductions. I am Devon Scelt Levi's older brother, and this is my betrothed and apparently your twin Brian." Devon bows slightly from his position behind Brian.

"Yeah, nice to meet you and whatever. What sort of plan is this you have; Dad was very vague." Brian shrugs as he speaks clearly not overly interested.

I briefly sum up the attack plan before continuing "originally access was going to be my biggest issue, but it would seem that the current circumstances quite handily solve that problem.

"How? We can't just suddenly say you're the son of the Alethian pirate Queen." Brian shakes his head as he speaks.

"No, that would be stupid and complicated to deal with. Likely to create more problems than anything else. Especially when the current circumstances allow for a much easier solution."
