"Alright, now then I'll introduce our three esteemed judges who will give each contestant their feedback before opening to the sponsors to select their representative. However, contestants be aware that it will be the audience that ultimately decides your continued participation of the 15 of you the two with the lowest score at the end of the next challenge will be eliminated." The host gestures to the camera as he makes his last comment.
There was a shuffle of feet amongst some of the participants while a couple of others straightened their shoulders or smirked clearly confident.
"Our first judge is a prospective future employer for all of you, fashion designer and founder of the Blue Angel Brand Carlo Ascot." The host continued as a slender man in his thirties dressing dark grey dress pants and and a deep blue vest over a pale grey dress shirt entered and sat in the left most chair with an elegant smile.
"Our second judge is to be one of your peers, top supermodel Eliza Bell." A statuesque dark skinned beauty in a long orange dress enters with a serious demeanour and a strong aura she sweeps her eyes across the contestants before settling into the seat beside Carlo.
Huh, she somewhat reminds me of elder brother, though not as cold, not the type to give you shivers just by entering the room.
"Last but least master photographer Alexander Dane, a top associated of the industry will be our final judge." Alexander was an older gentleman in dark brown slacks and a black dress shirt. He barely glanced at the contestants before taking his seat.
"Alright, the judges watched your performance from the next room and they will now give their feedback. First up Bethany," the contestant gestured to a blonde who was somewhat short for an aspiring model that was standing at the far end of the line and she stepped forward with a smile walking confidently to the centre of the room. She wore a pale white sailor dress with a pink trim and ruffle. Her blonde her was curled and pulled to one side under a beret. It gave the impression of a fairy though her temperament didn't match.
Eliza looked her over and then spoke, "firstly, you are borderline to short to be a model, and you have failed to support the look with temperament. However, your walk was graceful and the clothes are suitable for a theme of Sweet. I give you a 4."
"From a designers perspective, your face and figure are suitable for a theme of sweet but you do not project a corresponding atmosphere which affects the overall result of the look. I give you a 5." Carlo spoke gently while shaking his head.
Ouch, seems like she was expecting better results.
As Bethany wilted under the critique of the judges Alexander added "you failed at the most basic requirements for a model, you yourself could not showcase the clothes or the theme, I give you a 3, saved only because your looks are close to the theme."
12 out of a possible 30 not terrible, but pretty clear that the judges are unlikely to be taking prisoners.
As expected the rest of the scores in the Sweet section were equally brutal leaving Bethany with the highest score for the section, one score was as low as 5. In the heroic section the first two scores in the Heroic section showed no real improvement however, the third contestant was different.
"Eric," a tall man with Asian heritage stepped forward in a black changshan with red dragon rising across the chest very much resembling a victorious general albeit one of ancient rather than modern times. He strode forward with long strides.
"You chose your theme well to match your temperament and then paired it with appropriate clothes. If anything it could be improved with better styling, however you must be careful to not over use the same look, since this style is very similar to your entry images. I score it a 7." Once again Eliza spoke first.
Huh, so they do actually have things that you like.
Carlo spoke next, "you presented both the theme and the clothes well but beware of creating a strictly niche character position. I give a 7"
Finally, Alexander "even though you matched the image with your temperament the lack of flexibility means that your ability to present the faucets of the image will be impaired. 6."
20, that's the highest score so far. Wonder how my section will do.
