Namjoon's brown eyes stared intently at the computer screen as his long fingers typed swiftly across his keyboard. He currently was having a field day while going through the cell phone records of one of the missing persons cases that he has been working hard on, and that person was Ji (Y/N). Namjoon had just gained access to the missing young woman's phone records a mere thirty minutes ago and hasn't stopped scanning his computer screen ever since. The process was pretty frustrating though..Namjoon found it troubling that even when he obtained (Y/N)'s phone company and required them to send records that might help find her it took a full three days for all of that information to be turned over into their hands! This is an emergency situation, this woman has been missing since December..what if she was seriously harmed or even dead by now?
But Namjoon had faith in finding Ji (Y/N), he really did, even if it meant finding the woman on the edge of death somewhere in a wooded area.
Namjoon just felt frustrated from time to time because he felt like people he was reaching out to wasn't taking any of this seriously. He felt like he was the only one still looking at the older cases too, like the disappearance of that high school exchange student last year! How in the world is there barely any evidence pointing to where Michiko could possibly be? Ugh gosh, how terrible and regretful that poor girl's parents must feel. Someone must have seen something, someone must know something! No teenager from a foreign country with not many friends and a merely basic grasp of the language would just run off with someone willingly. Same with that happily married Hong Kong tourist, she wouldn't just willing leave her husband in a country they were supposed to be in for only about a week. Ji (Y/N) seemed to be the only missing person's in this grand case to have evidence that police could actually work with and use to figure out her whereabouts. And it was probably the best evidence an investigator could obtain, her phone records, which is what Namjoon was currently scrolling through at the moment.
As he scrolled through a few things and took notice two of the numbers that had called her. But he recognized them most frequent number that popped up as JiHye's and (Y/N)'s mother's number. The dates where JiHye's number popped up the most was in the duration of the first week (Y/N) went missing and gradually faded out through the rest of the month of December. Activity on (Y/N)'s cell phone all together had cease on December 8th, 2012 at exactly 1:07 in the morning, Namjoon assumed that the device had been shut off all together since then which also makes him believe that something had happened to the young woman just a couple hours after she was last seen leaving the university building.
Namjoon tried to mainly focus on looking through the texts messages that he was able to see, though truthfully most of the messages sent between (Y/N) and others were not relevant to the case whatsoever, and Namjoon was growing more and more irritated at hundreds of bland and silly texts between random numbers on the screen. That is until finally he felt like he had hit the jackpot.
Namjoon's eyes widened and his entire body subconsciously raised from his comfy chair and practically smothered his face against the shining screen.
On the very day (Y/N) was last seen she was texting back and fourth to someone, and that someone had requested that she spend the night..
