Upon hearing the announcement, you thought about your options. Most of the tributes who had a higher chance of winning didn't like you, due to your skill and unpredictable nature. Your district partner was one of those people, and ended up dead thanks to someone else.

You groaned in frustration, annoyed that you may have little to no chance being one of the two victors thanks to that reason.

"My god, if only people weren't so sensitive." You muttered, kicking a branch.

"I'm offended." Someone said in a sarcastic tone. You knew who it was. You turned to see Cato in all his glory, smirking widely at you. You raised a brow, crossing your arms. No doubt you could shoot him with an arrow right now. But, he wasn't cowering away in fear, which was new to you.

"You don't get scared of me?" You asked, causing him to bust out laughing. "Don't take it personally, honey, but I feel like I'm being threatened by a cupcake."

You blinked, raised your eyebrows, and then bit your lip, turning away not to laugh. That was a first time you heard a joke like that. And let's face it - it's always funny the first time.

However, a smile grew on your face, causing Cato to smile at your perfect smile. "There's that beautiful smile," He whispered, loud enough for you to hear him.

"Oh, so you were checking me out during training?" You grinned, a small bit of pink tinted your cheeks.

Cato smirked at you, bringing you close to him. "Yep, you're too beautiful not to check out."

At this point, you felt your breath hitch in your throat, unable to speak words. Was this really it? A muscular, cute/hot boy holding you close, flirting with you?

You got lost in his blue eyes, the ones that gazed at you with such infatuation you would go dizzy. "You're playing with fire." You whispered, waiting to see if he'll make a move.

His smirk never left his face, as he brung you even closer. "But I started it, and I sure as hell am gonna finish it." Pressing his lips against yours, he kissed you hungrily, like he finally got the chance to have a taste of a forbidden fruit.
You didn't pull away, you kissed back, letting you have this one moment.

Seconds later, he pulled back, gasping for air. You were no doubt doing the same.

"I guess we know who the two winners of this year are." Cato smirked. You chuckled back. "Oh, I totally know as well."

Truth be told I'd choose Cato because every time I see him I'm like:

Question of the day! What are you looking forward to? Whether that be in a year, a few months, tomorrow?
