AH SHIT I FORGOT TO POST AND ITS BEEN A WEEK IM SO SORRY
Ok so first off I watched the first two movies of the Lord of the Rings and I LOVE THEM. They are much better than Harry Potter sorry not sorry. (Though the protag bothers me a little. Not a lot, I just don't always like protags)
Anyway! I think the majority of you noticed that I didn't have a specific boy there. Yup, because I don't want to add a specific boy and because it can work with almost all the boys. So keep on reading the bold text before you read to understand how this will work!
(C/N) = the guy/girl you ship yourself with in the Hunger Games. Anyone! Peeta, Cato, Finnick, Marvel, Clove, Glimmer, you name it.
(M/N) = Mentor's Name. This mentor will depend on the person you choose to replace (C/N).
If you choose Marvel/Glimmer, (M/N) becomes Cashmere.
If you choose Cato/Clove, (M/N) becomes Brutus.
If you choose Finnick, (M/N) becomes Mags.
If you choose Peeta/Katniss/Gale, (M/N) becomes Haymitch.
If your (C/N) isn't in the list above, (M/N) will be the districts mentor/a random person that you can make up.
I intend to make the reader gender neutral for all readers! Enjoy this short fluff!

"(C/N), I plan on putting on a firework show in 5 minutes!" (M/N) called out to your lover, causing their eyes to look up in surprise. Yours, and (C/N)'s mentor for the Hunger Games. Separate ones, of course.
"Fireworks?" They asked.
(M/N) nodded. "Yes, why?"
They got up quickly, bidding their mentor a farewell before rushing to your house in the Victor's Village, passing by numerous visitors and paparazzi. Everyone was there to watch a wonderful display of colourful and loud fireworks. But not you.
(C/N) checked their watch really quickly, almost sprinting to your house before quickly entering, looking for you. They had just enough time to get to you before it would have begun. They saw you sitting on the couch, not even knowing about the firework show.
They quickly pulled you to their chest, rubbing your back and holding you closely as the first firework exploded outside, a small sound of 'oohs' and 'ahhs' from the others lightly passed through the open backdoor and into your ears.
(C/N) felt you tense a little in their arms, hating the sound of fireworks. They were loud. And forceful. It was like punching you hard in the chest, lightly taking your breath away. You used to like fireworks. Though the harsh peacekeepers ruined it for you. The sound of a firework was just as similar as a gunshot.
"Shhh," They cooed, pressing light kisses to your head, distracting you from the sounds that were outside. "It's alright, dear. I'm here now."
Slowly, you started to relax, controlling your breathing and your heartbeat started to calm down. you continued to focus on (C/N)'s arms comforting you like a blanket, their voice blocking out all the other sounds from reaching you. "I promise," They continued, though pausing.
"I promise," They said again, this time, more firm and promising. Like swearing on a vow in marriage of a sort.
"I am not letting go." That relieved you, and you fully relaxed in his arms. You've always asked them if they were going to let go, but this time they beat you to it, reassuring you that they were going to stay with you forever.
You never said anything, just listened to (C/N)'s voice and taking in his presence, feeling safe and secure. Not needing to worry about anything else. Like none of the bad stuff in the world every existed.
They never did when you were with (C/N).
