A few weeks later I was going to the Defense Against the Dark Arts when Malfoy bumped in my shoulder, clearly on purpose.
I scoffed "You still haven't forgiven me for beating you up in the Great Hall, have you?" I snapped to him
He turn around and face me "You didn't apologize" he shrugged and I roll my eyes "Ok, I'm sorry" I muttered and he smirk "Happy?" I say sarcastic "So much" his smirk grows
In the class everyone got surprised when Professor Moody said that he would use the Imperius Curse on us
"But... you said that it is ilegal, sir" Hermione say when Moody pulls the tables away with a wave of his wand "You said, sir... that use it in another human was..."
"Dumbledore wants that you all learn what is the effect the Imperius Curse produce in a person" Professor Moody interrupt Hermione, his maical blue eye roll to her "If you prefer learn by being attact... It's ok for me. You are dismiss from my class, Miss. You can go if you want" Moody said pointing to the door
Hermione got red, but stayed where she was. "Seems like Mudblood won't leave the class, what a pitty" I heard Malfoy whispering and Pansy giggling
I face him "Don't call Hermione a mudblood" I hissed to him and he smirk "What do you have to do with this?" he ask "She is my friend, don't you remember?" I say
He laugh low enough just to me and pansy heard "It seems to me that you have bad taste for friends" he say
I smirk "I have a better taste than Pansy, who hangs out with you" I look him up and down
He grab my wrist and pull me toward him, I bump into his chest and my heart start to beat faster "I don't like when you talk to me like that, Potter" he whisper, his lips brushing my ear
"I talk to you the way I want to" I say trying not to stutter. I face him "I already said to you stay away from me" I say and let go of his grip
I walk away from him and I see Carrie coming towards me "Malfoy doesn't take it easy on you, does he?" she scoffs
I look toward Malfoy and his smirk disapeared "I don't think he want to" I say angry
Professor Moody called some students ahead and cast the Imperius Curse on them. A Gryffindor boy jumped around the room three times, singing the national anthem. A Gryffindor girl imitated a squirrel. A Slytherin boy did a series of incredible stunts. None of them seemed to be able to withstand the curse, and each one only returned to normal when Moody undid it.
"Potter" Moody say "You are the next". Harry and I exchaged a confused look, which of us he was calling? Professor Moody seems have understood our confusion "The boy" he pointed to Harry and I couldn't help a sigh of relief from escaping my lips. "The girl can come after" he completed and I huffed
Moody pointed his wand at Harry "Imperio" Harry bent his knees, as if he were preparing to jump, but did not jump. He stayed in that position for a few moments and then made a strange move. He took a strange, crooked leap, as if he were jumping, but trying not to jump. He was clearly resisting the curse
It all ended with Harry sprawled on the floor
"Now it's better" Moody said suddenly "Look at this, you all... Potter resisted! Fought the curse and almost won! Very well Potter, very well! They will have work to control you" he seems excited and I chuckle lowly
Moody looked to me "Now is the girl. Come, Potter" he said and I felt Carrie giving me a slight push towards him, I glared at her and went to the center of the room
Moody pointed his wand at me "Imperio" he said
It was a wonderful feeling. I felt myself floating and all the thoughts and worries in my mind slowly disappeared, leaving only a vague and inexplicable happiness. I was extremely relaxed, vaguely aware that everyone was watching me
Suddenly I heard Professor Moody's voice echoing in a distant corner of my empty brain 'run across the room'
I didn't feel obliged to do that, I was feeling good where I was. I didn't want to run, so I stayed where I was
'run across the room...NOW' the voice echoed in my brain againg, louder this time
But I didn't wanted to do that, so I stayed where I was
Suddenly, all that feeling of happiness and carefreeness was drained from me and I realized that everyone was looking to me with wide eyes. I give a confused look to Professor Moody, but he smiled. Well I think that it was a smile
"Wonderful! Extraordinary! Miss Potter completely resisted the curse! She didn't moved a inch! Fought bravaly! You must be very stubborn to resist the curse like that! Ten points to Slytherin!" Moody say and I smile to have owned points to my house
But after all, I was realy confused why did I resist that easily te curse
