Darren's notebook was filled with poems, mysterious poems written by him.
Never in my wildest dreams did I think Darren would be a poet. I didn't understand what the poems meant but I was pretty sure there was a meaning behind them.
I reached for my phone in my jeans pocket and clicked a picture of all the pages while my hands were trembling. A million thoughts rushed my mind, out of all of them one was the most dominant
"Where was Darren?"
I had seen him leaving in the morning, I don't think he came back. But, if he's gone all day he might be coming back soon. I needed to keep the notebook back where it was, but I was too afraid to go back to Darren's room.
"I need to think smartly," I told myself "First of all, I need to find where is Darren"
I kept the notebook at an 'important place' and I walked out of my room to Ander's front door. I knocked on his door as tried to wait patiently. I heard the doorknob turn, I wanted to turn back but before I could Ander showed up behind the door.
"Hey," he said
"Hiiiiiii," I stretched the word "I just came by to say" I realized that I probably should've rehearsed before showing up at his door "to say," I thought of something to say "to say hey"
"Hi?" he replied, totally perplexed
We spent a few moments in an awkward silence
I earlier planned in my head that I would start a conversation with Ander and mid-way ask him about Darren but all I started was an inescapable awkward silence.
"This wall is great" I patted the wall beside Ander's door
"Yeah, it totally is" he sounded utterly perplexed "never noticed it before"
"That door is too" I pointed at the black door of Darren's room
"Never noticed that one either," he said, bewildered about how to reply
"Speaking of that door, where is Darren" I acted like it was reasonable of me to relate a door to Darren
"I don't know, probably at his friend's," he replied after giving me an utterly mystifying look
"Oh, so he's going to stay there for the night?"
"Yeah, probably" he confirmed "Did you just knock on my door to ask that?" he looked skeptical
"No, of course not," I lied "I came by because I figured out it was a long time since we last hung out" I blurted out the first excuse that came to my mind
"You just arrived yesterday and we hanged out this afternoon"
"Um..."
"Wait, Did you forget all of it?" he raised his eyebrows "Is this a part of your Amnesia"
