I turned around to see Darren leaning towards the door, dressed in his usual where his outfit told me he was attending someone's funeral but his expression told me he wanted to bring that someone back from the dead so he could kill him again

I turned around to see Darren leaning towards the door, dressed in his usual where his outfit told me he was attending someone's funeral but his expression told me he wanted to bring that someone back from the dead so he could kill him again.

"I see, you've shown yourself around" His voice sounded a different kind of cold

How the hell did he get here?

No one besides me and Ander were in the mansion?

Most importantly, how did he know I was here?

"Huh" I breathed loudly out of fear

He sedately took a few steps ahead but not in my direction.

I don't think I even moved a nanometer. I had no idea what to do, I couldn't think of anything. I should've been trying to come up with convincing excuses but instead, my triggered brain came up with a million questions and I had no idea whether I should even breathe.

"Don't fricking stand, you're most welcomed to take a seat" he said, sarcasm and coldness defining his voice

I still didn't move because my brain stopped working at this point, but my leg moved due to shivering and I mentally cursed myself for it, which made me realize how scared I was.

Okay I need to think, I need to come up with an excuse

"I-I" I mindlessly started, having no idea how to finish the statement "lost my way"

What an excuse, I sarcastically praised myself in my mind

He simply nodded as a response which left me bewildered

"I'll-l-l lea-ave..." I stuttered, realizing how intimidated I was by his footsteps

"Oh, no! you are most welcomed to stay"

Why the heck is he being so sarcastic?

"Just ask me before borrowing my stuff next time" he continued with extra emphasis on 'borrowing'

Play it cool, pretend like you don't know what's he's talking about

"Wha-at" I tried not to stutter

I felt like I pissed him off even more by pretending

"Fears only fear you because you let them fear you" Kaylee words struck my mind

"You'll be intimidated as long as you let him intimidate you," I told myself

"I'm gonna go," I said, hardly stuttering, trying to be brave

I was about to leave, but it was like I didn't want to leave. A felt this weird feeling that I didn't want to leave until I found what I was looking for.

"Are you gonna leave or stay in here for another fricking decade?" Darren said waking me up from my thoughts

Thank god, at least he was done being sarcastic

I quickly started to make my way outside his room but I halted when I heard something drop with a thud.

I turned around and saw a gun lying on the floor beside Darren's feet.

"When your brothers are in a mafia, you keep a gun with you," he said, picking it up, leaving me dumbfounded.

~◻◻◻~

I woke up and found myself in my room. Soon enough, I recalled all the events in my head. Most of them were a blur but I remembered stepping inside Darren's room, seeing a gun there, and that he told me the mafia truth. After that, I came to my room, had the most horrible flashbacks, and tried to sleep because Kaylee once advised me to sleep when I get flashbacks.

As much as I was shocked by the mafia truth, it was believable. I was already suspicious that my brothers were hiding something, I guess this was that something. The thing I was still perplexed about was why would they hide it from me, wouldn't it be safer for me to know the truth?

Under normal circumstances, I would've been appalled by the mafia truth but seeing a real gun just gave me horrible flashbacks of my memory and I was too caught up by it to pay attention to the truth. But at least now I know, my memory has something to do with some mafia by brothers are a part of. Because why else would it involve guns?

I checked my phone for the time, it was 7 pm.

"Shit, for how long was I asleep" I muttered to myself

I quickly made my way to my bathroom

"Geez, I look like a mess" I mumbled

I washed my face and changed into a new outfit. After a while, I heard a knock on my door

"Yess" I opened the door and saw Ander

"Are you okay, you've been in your room for like 5 hours"

After his statement, I remembered I told Ander an excuse for not coming to the game room but I couldn't recall the excuse.

I debated in my mind whether I should tell Ander what happened or not

"I'm fine, I don't know how but I fell asleep" I decided to lie

"Oh," he said taking in a long breath

"But anyways Evander called you to his study"

Evander has a study?

"Why?" I questioned

"I don't know, honestly" he replied

Am I in trouble?

He told me the way to Evander's study and I walked in the way he directed. He didn't come along with me because he told Evander wanted to see me alone and he too scared of Evan to ask why.

Evander's study was on the opposite side of the floor, the interior was the same as the other side but the atmosphere was drastically different. I knocked on the brown door, which I assumed was the study, annihilating the cold ambiance just for a second. A man dressed in a blue suit opened the door and I saw Evander sitting behind a desk. He gestured for me to step in.

I stepped in, trying to hide how scared I actually was. Evan gestured to me to take a seat in front of him. I took a seat and fiddled with my fingers as the atmosphere turned even colder.

"I know what you did," Evan said in a heartless voice
