10:03 PM

"Oh my God." I whispered glancing to my dark windows.

"Ash?" Betty's worried tone came through the line.

"I'm sorry, I lost track of time. I'll be there in 20 minutes."

I hung up before she spoke again.

I glanced down at my arms, covered in charcoal as I slowly walked to my large sketchbook. The figure looking back at me made my heart hammer in my chest. Why?

I felt choked up again as I looked at his perfectly drawn side profile

I felt choked up again as I looked at his perfectly drawn side profile. He was so unfairly attractive, I had no chance.

I tried my best to get the charcoal off of me, but some spots on my hands refused to budge.

I changed into tight light wash jeans and a plain black cropped tank top. I tugged my boots on and my leather jacket and basically ran to the Mustang, still parked outfront from her time with Archie.

I drove quickly to Chuck's house, I knew where it was at because he was constantly throwing parties in his parents huge house. Freshman year I basically lived here.

I pulled up roughly a street away to ensure no drunk idiots would hit my father's car, as I approached the loud house I couldn't help but glance to the handful of motorcycles in front. My brain reminded me of my embarrassing drawing of a certain boy who rides one.

I didn't bother looking for anyone, I quickly made my way to the kitchen.

I made a strong Vodka Cranberry, forcing myself to chug it before pouring another. Glancing around the crowd I took another large gulp of my drink, my eyes locked with brown ones but I was quick to flee. The quickest door being to the backyard.

As I stumble over the doorway and slam it behind me, hoping he won't follow. There's a fire, I recognize Betty's pony tail. I didn't bother to look further as I started walking, I was quickly grabbed by the arm though, "Not so fast, baby."

I look back to Reggie, "Dude, leave me alone!" I whine trying to pull my arm out of his grip, only for it to be grabbed harder.

"Reggie, let go! Or I'm gonna yell for Archie." I glared tugging at my arm again, his eyes glanced to someone behind me.

"Don't gotta yell for that bulldog, Princess." I quickly turn to look at him. Bright orange light framed him from the glowing fire behind him.

"Wow, didn't pick you for a Serpent Slut." Reggie basically threw my arm away from him.

"Pretty sad, Mute." He glared as he walked back into the party.

I looked back at Sweet Pea who still stood staring. "Why are you at a Bulldog party?"

He smirked at me as he approached, "Thought you'd be here."

I looked up at him into those deep brown eyes, "Never took you for a liar."
