Summary:

PS: The protagonist has superb makeup and beauty techniques, no other Golden Finger, there will be no princes and generals, just ordinary everyday farming.

Review:
I like a calming romance in county something like Assassin's Farmer. This novel is similar to AF, but I got bored at the end because there's no conflict at all. There're some conflict with ML family or how MC try to improve her business at the beginning but once it's resolved the novel only focusing about MC business expanding and it felt boring.
MC was sold as slave and ML bought her. ML is a widowed and retired soldier, his leg got hurt and he walk limping. He bought MC with his retired money abruptly because he thought of his sister who got sold in the past. MC agreed to marry him and she loves his son. ML has an older brother and younger brother, his older brother is the head family. When he was in army, ML son was taken care by the older brother family. They asked money from ML, ML paid them monthly but his son got abused. When ML got back, his son is malnourished despite ML paid a lot to his brother. ML brother kick out ML from family when he saw ML leg is lame.
MC sold her pendant to get some money to improve their situation. When they got harassed by ML family, ML relent and used the money for his family. MC got angry and think to run away with his son if he keep doing it. When they got harassed again, ML forced his brother to give consent separating their family, if the brother family keep bothering ML he will get kicked out of village. Since then the ML family never bother them again.
MC focusing on her career as make up artist, she also sold perfume balm. She was asked to make up a magistrate daugther. The daugther will be sent to capital as an important minister concubine, they asked MC so the daughter can be selected. MC is afraid they will force her, once she is done she immediately went home. Later they want MC to serve the daugther in capital as close servant but MC refused. They force MC and directly took her, ML got beaten. ML went to a close city and find his friend in the army who is now a captain. He saved MC and took her home. The captain was ML close friend in the army, ML cut off their connection because he was from famous general family and got special status. ML thought they are from 2 different background and didn't want to entangled with big family. So he never contacted him until MC got kidnapped. The captain punished the magistrate and moved him to a harsh city.
That's the last conflict in this novel. The rest is MC expanding business which is boring to me so I skipped it.
In the end the captain son love MC daughter but MC and ML refused him because they don't want their daughter to suffer in big family. The captain son took a mission and ask separate mansion to the emperor so he could marry MC daughter. While MC son marry King Medicine apprentice, the King Medicine just passed away and a lot of people may asked the apprentice to cure and may make some trouble with their family. MC said it's okay since they are family. Then MC and ML spent 3 years in honey moon before go back home and spent their life together.
