Review:
I enjoyed reading this novel but I felt it's not deep enough. The setting is common, MC have step mother and step sister, she was forced to engage with ML's niece. ML's niece keep avoiding MC because he doesn't want to get engage. He also close with other woman, Wen ling who hate MC. WL keep having ambiguous relation with ML niece (XW). XW actually only repay WL because she saved his life when he is drown on junior high. He gave the saviour a bracelet but didn't see the face. He saw the bracelet on WL so he helped her open a gym and wipe her ass.
MC hate WL because she tried to strangle MC in water and make MC traumatized. She keep provoking MC and also cause car accident that frighten MC. ML come the rescue and expose WL true face to XW. XW is repeatedly abused by MC and ML, both of them keep saying he is stupid which is true 😂 he kept being fooled by MC and ML until the end.
In the end ML said to XW after he broke up the engagement with MC that WL stole the bracelet from MC. MC is the one who save XW. XW keep regretting.
ML is truly black bellied. He guide MC step by step until she accept him and beg him to have sex. He even swindle her to get marriage certificate first. ML father married 2 times, ML is from 2nd wife. The 2nd wife have affair with ML's father right hand man. ML father fired him then the man suicide within 2 days. ML mother become crazy. ML father drove ML and his mother away. ML was abused by his mother for 2 years until he met MC grandma. MC grandma took care ML for some time before he went back to his family. His father sent him abroad since he did not like ML.
ML met MC when dining. Both misunderstood each other. MC thought ML is XW, her fiancee. ML thought MC is a highschooler who is about to be adopted by his cousin. They met several time and keep misunderstood. I laughed when ML ask why MC younger brother in hospital and MC thought he ask about her dog. MC answered that he is castrated. ML is shocked and suddenly braked 😂. After ML figured out that MC is his niece fiancee and she tried to break the engagement, he began his plan to lure MC.
Toward the end it was full of sweet moment of MC and ML with a little conflict.
