Self doubt

On same days Reki would start doubting himself. Start asking himself why he isn't good enough. Or why he can't do anything right.

Reki and Langa have been dating for 5 months. Langa would always remind Reki of how amazing he is, Reki appreciates this. It makes him feel special. But sometimes it embarrasses him. Today is one of those days.

"Argh! This isn't good too!" Reki threw a skateboard down. He was trying to make Langa a new board, it was going to be a gift for their upcoming 6 month anniversary. But it wasn't going the way he wanted. "Why can't I do this right!" He yelled in frustration.

He thought he was alone, but Langa was outside listening in. Curious as to what Reki was doing.

"I'm so useless!" Reki yelled out covering his face with his hands. "I can't even make my boyfriend a new skateboard!" He looked at the drawing he had for the new board, frustration building up inside him. "This was a stupid idea!" He picked up the drawings, tearing them up before tossing them on the ground.

"What kind of boyfriend am I?!? I can't even make him something special! All I do is screw up!" Tears were building up in eyes now. He never told Langa this but he always thought he didn't deserve him. He also thought he wasn't a good boyfriend. He didn't want to lose Langa, so he kept this to himself.

Hearing all of this broke Langa's heart. He loved Reki so much, he would do anything just to see him smile. He thought the world of Reki, and would do anything for him.

"I don't even deserve Langa... he deserves someone else. Someone better than me.." Reki whispered out, but Langa heard. He then went into the shed, which surprised Reki.

"Langa-" Reki was saying before being pulled into a hug by Langa. "Reki... you do deserve me. And I deserve you. Please remember that." Langa said. His voice was gentle and sweet.

"But... I'm just a screw up. I can't even make you a board." Reki mumbled. His face was buried into Langa's chest. "That's not true. You're so amazing and perfect, Reki. You always know what to say to make me laugh and smile. Your hugs are so warm and comforting-"  Langa was saying before being cut off by Reki. He pushed himself off Langa, his face becoming very red. "Okay! Okay! I get it." He covered his face.

Langa chuckled, placing his hands on the other's waist. "Do you really? Cause you know I could go on for hours on why you're amazing." Langa said. Reki furiously nodded his head.

"So, you're making me another board?" Langa asked looking at Reki's workspace. He saw the pieces of paper on the ground, each having a drawing. Reki nodded his head, still recovering from the compliments.

"I can't do it." Reki said, this caught Langa's attention immediately. "Yes you can! I believe in you." Langa replied back, he removed his hands from the others waist. Langa gently intertwined his and Reki's fingers together. "Really?" Reki asked looking up at the blue haired boy. He nodded instantly.

"Okay. Okay! I can do this!" Reki exclaimed a bright smile forming on his face. He let go of Langa's hand and started drawing another design. Langa watched in amazement, he always loved watching Reki make a board. He was always so focus and would sometimes stick his tongue out while working.

"How does my new board look?" Langa asked, looking over Reki's shoulder. The red head quickly turned the paper over. He didn't want Langa to see, it was suppose to be a surprise.

"No peeking!" Reki turned around to look at Langa. The blue head smiled, he pushed Reki's headband back a bit before gently cupping his cheeks and placing a kiss on his forehead. He was about to leave but felt a hand grab his wrist. "Reki?"

"Give me a real kiss." Reki pulled Langa towards him. Langa instantly wrapped his arms around Reki's waist while Reki wrapped his arms around Langa's neck.

Their kiss was tender. It was full of love and affection. All their kisses were like this, it was a feeling that made them both feel butterflies. The kiss lasted for a few more minutes till they broke apart, both now sharing a small tint of blush on their cheeks.

"Good luck. I love you, remember that, okay?" Langa cupped Reki's cheeks one last time. "Okay. I love you too!" Reki smiled up at Langa.

Langa then headed out, leaving Reki to his work. He couldn't wait to see how his new board would look. He knew it was going to be amazing since it was coming from Reki. And he loved Reki with all his heart. And nothing would ever change that.
