"She's what?" Jonathan yells

Riley's POV
"Your pregant?" Jonathan yells just as Mia and Patrick come out of the locker room hand and hand
Wow perfect timing.
Mia just glares at me, as I look around like I had nothing to do with it
"Yes. Why do you have a problem?" She asks sending another glare my way
"Of course not, why would I be? I'm going to be an uncle!"
"Congrats man." He hugs Patrick
I think both of our jaws droped to the ground.
Never in a million of years would I expect him to act like that especially after our 'conversation' just a few minutes ago.
"Look Captain Serious knows how to smile." I smirk as Mia laughs
"What's gotten into him?" She asks as we watch him and Patrick goof off
"Who knows?" I shrug

I'm woken by my phone going off, it's been a few days since everyone found out Mia was pregnant.
"Hello?" I answer grogily
Who calls at 3:30 in the morning?
I only know one person who did that and well were not exactly on speaking terms, so that only leaves one person left
"Riley!"
Mia. Should of known
"Yeah, what do you want?"
That came off of a lot harsher than I expected but come on it's 3:30 in the morning
"Jeez what crawled up your ass?" I hear Mia say on the other line
Even at this hour of the day, she still is sassy
"Sorry I'm just tired, what's up?" I yawn
"What do you say of going to Winnipeg with Patrick and I the 28th?" Mia asks
Is this really nesscessary? May I remind her that it's 3:30 in the frickin morning
"Why?"
"Because Patrick and I were thinking of how nice it would be to tell my parents in person about us expecting."
"Plus it would be nice to get away from Chicago for a few days." She adds in
"I don't know Mia." I began
"Please!! Pretty please Riley!" She begs
I sigh before giving in
"If I say yes then can I go back to sleep?"
"Yes thank you Riley!! I promise you won't regret this."
With that the line goes dead
"That girl is something else." I chuckle to myself
And before I know it my head hits the pillow and I'm out.
