"You're a real force to be reckoned with, and I have so much respect for how you handle yourself. But for some reason... I'm the exception."

The week that led up to the fight club event passed in a blur of fierce struggles in the battle arena between Clay, Sapnap, George and I. Bad refused to go into the battle arena, claiming that since his days as a bodyguard were now technically over, he did not wish to 'risk by frequent injuries a brain as delicate as his.' George and Sapnap teased him relentlessly that his week as prime minister had made him soft, but he merely rolled his eyes at them, preferring as usual to kill them with kindness. It was Bad encouraging every one of us from the sidelines, and it was Bad patching us up again after we inevitably incurred injuries.
Spending our nights curled up into each other became a matter of course for Clay and I. There was something about having another person by your side who you trusted implicitly that made for a calmer, better night's sleep. I knew Sapnap and George had noticed the two of us had suddenly become closer than ever, but they didn't say anything, unless you counted the knowing looks. Bad did not indicate that he had noticed anything out of the ordinary, but he probably respected our right to some privacy a lot more than the other two did.
On the evening we were to attend fight club, Dream, George, Sapnap and I met Tommy at the door to the club. Due to the secret nature of fight club, the door was kept locked at all times, meaning someone had to open the door from the inside if you wanted to go in. I tucked my fingers into the ends of my dark green sweater, feeling a little tense with anticipation. I bent down to check that my boots were strapped on tightly, feeling the outline of the knife that was always there. I could feel Dream's eyes on me, but decided against meeting his gaze.
"Hello, Dream!" Tommy beamed, as he approached us. "Alexa, George, Sapnap. What's it like being king, Dream?"
Dream shrugged, smiling slightly at Tommy.
"It's great, actually," he said. "There's no one to enforce any rules over me. I can wear green hoodies 24/7."
"Oh," said Tommy, blinking, as Sapnap cackled in the background. "I... I expected that there'd be much greater benefits to being crowned the dictator of the entire server."
"I'm not a dictator," Dream rolled his eyes.
"Dream you have absolute power, so yes, you are a dictator. But anyway, let's go to the place which shall not be named because of rule number one."
"Tommy you are genuinely the most chaotic person of my acquaintance," said George, shaking his head.
Tommy did not dignify this with a response, which must have taken an impressive amount of self control on his part. That, or he just didn't hear him, his attention already straying elsewhere. We followed the younger blonde through the door, and after crossing the room, we entered the lift that would take us to the floors below. The lift was a little small to fit all four of us plus Tommy, but we managed it. I hadn't realised how close Dream was to me until I felt his hand slip into mine, and I turned to smile at him. This was going to be fun. Probably chaotic, and we were definitely making bad life choices by going here considering we had a country to run, but gambling with your life was always an... interesting experience.
