Aipha brought surprising intelligence with him

Aipha brought surprising intelligence with him. Quackity and Karl were reported to have split, both going their separate ways. They had suspected them both to be in the Badlands, and after spotting Karl there, had spent time observing him in an attempt to understand what his plans were. However, after days went by and there had been no sign of Quackity, Aipha had begun to suspect something, and the team had departed from the Badlands, eventually tracking Quackity all the way back to Manburg. He was on good terms with Schlatt still, and this information was confirmed by Tubbo, who had recently come from there as well.

After learning all this, a loose idea of a plan of action began to form. Sapnap and Rae had immediately suggested going after Karl in the hope that they'd be able to speak with him, and understand his motives. They wanted to go to Quackity as well, but Dream wouldn't let them, and Sapnap did eventually admit that, at best, it would be a fool's errand.

At the end of all this, I was surprised yet again by Techno stepping towards myself and Dream whilst the others were distracted by plans for the future.

"I want to talk to you both," his words were quiet, which was unlike him. "In private," he added.

"Sure," Dream nodded, glancing briefly at me, a hand slipping into mine. "We can go to the library?"

Techno shrugged.

"Sounds good to me."

The three of us accordingly left the room where we'd been brainstorming with the others, although not without a raised eyebrow or two from Sapnap and Punz. George was, predictably, engrossed in chess once again, getting along well with Wilbur, and it crossed my mind that perhaps the king's bodyguard had a little more to do with his acceptance of my twin brother than I'd initially realised.

The library was heavily guarded from the outside, as per usual, and the guards swung the heavy doors open for the three of us as we approached them, letting us in, before stepping through themselves. Dream held up a hand, however, to stop them.

"Wait outside, if you would," he said, nodding to them. "And don't let anyone in except for George, Sapnap or Punz."

"Worried I brought you in here to stab you in the back?" Techno side eyed Dream, and I could hear the humour in his voice.

"You're not that stupid, surely," Dream merely looked at him. "You might be able to take me on your own, but you sure as hell can't take both of us."

"What makes you so sure my sister will take your side?" Techno raised an eyebrow at him.

I sighed, rolling my eyes, and stepped past both of them, heading through the rows upon rows of bookshelves to the armchairs that were positioned by a fireplace. I sat down in one of them, tucking my legs underneath me, and turned to see them both smirking at me.

"You know we're joking, right?" Said Dream.

"I don't know, you weren't joking last time you had a discussion about fighting one another," I stated.
