"Oh not much. I'm about to go read those five pages and then do some research. Then I saw you and though I should come over and say hey." I replied taking a seat beside her.
"What kind of research? Maybe I can help you." She suggested.
"Oh no, that's okay. Its not for a project. But thanks anyway."
If she helped and finds out that I can maybe talk to snakes, will she judge me? But I also want to be her friend and I can't start our friendship with a lie.
After a moment of silence I spoke.
" Actually, I think you could help me. It'll be faster and maybe get to know you better."
She smiled.
"Great, what's the topic?" She asked.
"Um ... Snakes?" I said but sounded more like a question.
"don't you have like two snakes?" She asked. " i mean you should already know thing about them."
I laughed nervously.
" yeah.. but it's still nice to know more about you pets." I answered
I didn't want to correct her on having three snakes and not two snakes.
She seemed to be thinking. Did she think something was up?
" alright, come on then. We can search in the animal section of the library." She said getting up and gathering her things.
I smiled and stood up setting my book down.
" we can gather all the books that have anything to do with snakes."

THUMP
I placed what seamed to be the last book that hade to do with snakes. There were only two piles of four books on the table.
"Great, now all I got to do is read." I said.
"Yeah, good luck. Hope you find what your looking for."
"Thanks"
" I got to go back to my common room, got to do a project."
"Already?! That is way too early in the year."
"yeah well we can hang out another time?"
"Of course"
"Later." And with that she grabbed her things and started to walk out the library.
Maybe i should have brought Scorpius and Albus to help. That would have been way easier to find what I need.
I started with the first book and flipped the pages. I did this till I was at the last book.
I check the time to make sure I had enough time to read it. I had about thirty minutes till I had to go back to the common room. Immediately I started to flip the pages.
After a while I was starting to lose hope. Maybe I was just dreaming that a snake could understand me.
But then there was a word 'Parselmouth'. I read through it carefully.
' Parseltongue is the language of serpents (as well as other magical serpentine creatures, like the Runespoor and Basilisk) and those who can converse with them. An individual who can speak Parseltongue is known as a Parselmouth. It is a very uncommon skill, and was known to be an almost exclusively hereditary trait.' Then a sentence got my attention, 'Parseltongue is considered an attribute of a Dark Wizard.'
My eyes and mouth widened. Was I a parcel mouth?
I closed the book and put back all the books I had found. I grabbed my book and started for the door. I wasn't watching where I was going and fell to the ground.
"What where your going!" I said getting up from the ground, taking my book up.
Clearly I was the one who didn't watch where I was going.
"Maybe you should to" the voice said nervously laughing.
I knew that voice from anywhere. Scorpius.
"Scorpius!" I said sounding surprised. "Sorry didn't mean to bump in to you."
"that's okay" he replied.
I looked around to make sure no one was watching, not caring Scorpius was watching.
"You alright Y/n? You seem...Off" Scorpius asked.
"Me? Off? No."
"Y/n, you can tell me what's going on. I'm your friend, aren't I?" He asked.
I smiled at that.
"Of course you are my friend, best friend. But don't Albus or Rose that." I said winking.
"Okay, so what is?" He asked seriously.
I bit my lips, hesitating. I looked around to make sure no one was watching or listening.
"Okay, fine." I finally said after a moment. " but I also want to tell Rose and Albus at the same time."
Scorpius looked at me confused but also worriedly.
"Okay, how about you tell us tomorrow?" He asked. " we can't stay here any longer, we are running out of time before curfew." He said, taking my hand, dragging me towards the Slytherin common room as he ran.
For some, reason I felt butterflies in my stomach from his touch. Why?

We had arrived at the common room 12 seconds before curfew. I was currently writing a letter.
Why and to who you may ask. To my Grandmother to ask her if I had any family members who were parselmouth. Then I started writing that I was going to get a house elf for her and I. That house elf was going to useful. I didn't care about the price as long as she was being taken care of.
I stare at Mason and Camila who were sleeping in there terrarium. Two black snakes curled up on opposite sides.
What if I was Parselmouth? What would my friends say? How would they react? Would anybody else find out I'm a Parselmouth?
I look back at the written letter. I reread the letter. After I thought that it was good enough, I rolled it up and tied a not. I would bring that letter to the owlry the next morning.
I got changed into pj's and got in to bed. Trying not to think that I could speak to snakes. With that I went to sleep quickly.

WOW! Today, I was so productive *smiling sarcastically*. Nah I didn't get to do anything. Just been reading all day. Anyway...
