six weeks later.

it had been about a month and a half since everything was settled. and a lot had happened since then—

firstly, your cast was removed and you could finally walk again. it was merely a minor fracture, so within that time period, your leg was essentially healed and ready to use again. your doctor told you to be extra careful due to the fact that your leg was still sensitive, though, that didn't stop you from getting onto a skateboard as soon as you could;

"tobio! i said don't let go of me!"

"i'm not!" kageyama stood behind you with his soft hands gripping your waist securely, stabilizing you as you stood on top of your skateboard, "just trust me!"

after a month of no skating whatsoever, you had completely forgotten how to do it. not to mention the fear of injuring yourself again was also on the back of your mind, preventing you from getting used to it again.

"okay. i'm gonna push off now." you gulped before taking a foot off the board to touch the pavement, "you'll catch me if i fall, right?"

kageyama hesitated with his response, "..ill try my best."

you took his less reassuring words into account as you pressed your weight onto your back foot, pushing off so that you began to move, and it was successful—

"tobio! look!" you said with a laugh, a big grin on your face as you rolled, "i'm doing it—that was so easy! i didn't know why i was so- tobio?!"

you felt wobbly on your board when you realized that kageyama wasn't supporting you from behind. instead, he remained standing about ten feet away from you, making your nervousness peak and your balance unstable; you fell and your body met with the pavement.

"y/n?!" kageyama yelled out frantically, immediately rushing over to you, "i'm sorry, are you okay?! i thought you could do it without me-" the ravenette looked down at your figure as you remained on the floor, though you began laughing hysterically,

"it's been a long time since that's happened, hasn't it?" you looked up at your boyfriend as he responded with a look of relief,

"stop messing with me, y/n! i thought you hurt yourself again!" he exclaimed, though he smiled with you, obviously happy with the fact that you were alright.

secondly, with the help of hinata and kageyama's sister, miwa—the two of you were an official couple now. though it was especially awkward at times—you had never felt happier, especially with kageyama always by your side.

he reached his hand out to help you off the ground, in which you gladly took it, "thank you!"

"wait, y/n." kageyama didn't let go of your hand after helping you up, though you didn't mind as your fingers enlaced with one another, "the sun is setting. which means we should probably go home soon, but i have one more place to bring you to."

"then lead the way."

kageyama simply nodded before picking up your skateboard and beginning to walk. you did nothing but follow him.

the silence was momentary for the couple minutes you walked, but soon the two of you reached a familiar place,
